Admittedly it's a questionaire not monitored net use. If you look at the diagram it looks like more women under 18 and 18 - 26 admit to enjoying porn than men. An age group where males are self conscious about admitting using porn, and more women used porn to induce arousal than men. I'm one of the men who nearly always uses porn to induce arousal because I want an orgasm and I feel society gives me minus points for not being unrealistically forever horny. So questionaires only tell you what people want you to know. But providing the participant selectoin doesn't favour one group in society, it's still an interesting survey for the strong presence of women in comparison to porns assumed audience.

Well put. It should be a funny comment were it not so true. And I feel the same.
Okay, if you're a guy (Just for this example, but not exclusive.) and you're not in a relationship and can't forsee being in one in the future, the sexual urge doesn't go on hold for sake of, "convention". No more than bodily function. Okay, it's something over which a person has more control, but it's still there. At my age, it's supposed to diminish. Ain't happened yet. I take medication that had a side effect that should diminish the urge. Hasn't yet after two years.
So, if I want an orgasm, do I stare off into space and think orgasmic thoughts? No.
I've been looking at various adult materials since the 60's and whether I was in a relationship or not, it's a really great kick start.
I have a comfort level, mentioned that before, and the reason I'm here is this site is dead on in my zone.
Having said all that, I have placed my self in the 2/3's who view adult materials.
But from personal experience, I think the numbers for women are greater.
As you point out, it's just a survey. Women I know would more readily admit to having had sexual contact with another woman than admit to viewing adult material.
That puzzles me but I'm not sure why.
Watching clips on IFM and assuming they are reflections of actual events, a lot of the models either view adult material, use a mirror, and I've wondered, do some watch their own vids? Stands to reason they would.
The models fall in to that target range and so reinforce the numbers. I think it's a mind set. They just don't resist the natural inclination as women in the past would. No more than resist the natural inclination to pee.
It's just not the taboo it was 20, 30, or 40 years ago.
In an area like where I live where the old values are rigidly adhered to from the past, adult materials are still viewed at the gate to mortal sin. Legal, with the obvious exceptions, but tainted still.
Go figure? Not to drift away.
A nice touch point for discussion. Hope others join in.
