The penis is mightier than the sword :-)

They say that the pen is mightier than the sword ! For that to be true, it would have to be a rather large pen with a big tip ;-)

Historically most military aggresion has been  about penis power deep down, otherwise where's the psychological motivation for wanting to take and control so much land and resources you don't need.

Actually you've just given me an idea for a present, I googled it and it does exist! if I was given it I'd take it to work smile http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/ … d:15251029

Really Blissed?   Care to post any references that show >50% of military conflicts have nothing to do with resource acquisition?

Re: The penis is mightier than the sword :-)

Who said 50%? and how could you ever study historical motivation and come up with sound evidence when everybody involved is dead smile ha ha. My statement is part conscious reasoning and part based on intuition.

If an animal violently or otherwise aquires from it's own species huge amounts of resorces it doesn't need, there has to be a reason for that behaviour and in humans my intuition say's it's usually a male courtship ritual.

As far as your reasoning - not even sure what to say.  Done.

50% is half...Most is "more than." IE: 60%>40%

@ Blissed I get your point, and it is logical for opposing tribes to attack others for acquisition for land and mating rights. So you're both right.
