Abortion and crime

Interesting short film linking legalising abortion in the 1970s to crime reduction in the 90s

Here in England abortion was legalised in 1967 and crime fell more modestly in the 90s without many of the strict law enforcement measures, so could possibly indicate the fall due to abortion.  Anyway I see the crime fall effect as not a reason for abortion but as the Karmic reward for respecting reproductive choice.

Re: Abortion and crime

I agree with blissed, what we do with "our" bodies is "our" concern, whether to have child or not, whether to have tattoo or not, whether to body peirce or not, whether to drink alcohol or not, whether to take drugs or not, whether to eat meat or not, and all the other "whethers". In a democratic country we are supposed to have free choice. This makes us better, more responsible people. I think the issue about crime rate rings true. To finish on a lighter note, the UK and Australia are great countries to live in :-))
