This particular battle for quality is not over by a long shot. I am hearten by this ruling but I still haven't gotten over the shock of its passage by the voters of my home state, which is suppose to be the progressive vanguard of the country.
I still believe ultimately we will do the right thing but it won't be quick or easy.

I listen to too much talk radio and its amazing the hatred that comes out about this issue. It really makes me sick. And its hard to imagine what my gay / lesbian friends are going through.

i have to be part of this thread!! i was so so excited for this, i and my friends in cali have been fighting this battle a long time and i just wish i could have been in san francisco for the amazing spontaneous street explosions of joy as everyone, straight and gay alike, danced and shouted and upended bottles of champagne to celebrate this fantastic moment... whether or not it should even be a question, a step in the right direction is such a relief... *hugs everyone*

Yeah, it was a pretty good week. The crap in Arizona was found unconstitutional, and they appear to have plugged the Gulf oil spill. 3 for 3!

I like wankers, It the non-wankers you got to worry about. They can be so uptight.
