Well I posted there so now I'm gonna double post and put it here too.

I’m a guy and not all but many men pretend they’re penis has never let them down and that they’re up for sex at any time. So this pretence is just eccepted as fact because the female experience that this is false and that to varying degrees men get times when we’re in the mood and times when we’re not, isn’t regarded or noted, and female desire isn’t regarded much or noted either yet if a woman desires you and keeps looking at you that is far sexier than a one way admiration. So we should overtly value that desire because we already put a price on it when you have to pay a call girl as much as a lawyer. I couldn’t work the corners and make that ha ha. Life is so much happier when people respect each others sexuality and sexual choices.

My libido is hot sometimes and cold sometimes, it's variable, if we were full on all the time that doesn't make sense in the context of sexual selection, most men won't just have sex with anyone even if that person is atractive, and are selective. Does anyone else concurr with that.

P.S. We appear less selective than woman because we can't get pregnant, so culturally and historically (before contraception) that made a big difference when considering when and who to have sex with. Perhaps this exaggerated difference in apparent sexual appetite originates in that traditional behaviour and still persists today simply as a meme. I'll probably read this later and think it's a little inadequate but as it's just come off the top of my head it seems to make sense to me right now.

I think I would characterize my libido as Hot and Warm. Never cold.

By that I mean, sometimes I am aggressive and seek sexual satisfaction, and sometimes I am up for it if it should happen, but not disappointed if it does not. I have to say that at no time am I ever in a place where I would say, "Not tonight baby, I don't feel like it."

In my new marriage, (I still say new even though it's been 8 years now), for about 4 years we had sex every night. Then it slowed down a bit and we had 1 or sometimes 2 nights a week off for a couple years, this last year, possibly due to me being in pain (I have a foot injury that has not been allowed to heal due to my job) we have slowed down even more . . . 3-5 times a week.

Interestingly, I have quite my job, due in no small part to my foot injury, and will be giving it time to heal before getting into any serious physical labor again. Course if the "Plan" works that'll never happen! *crosses fingers* Where was I . . oh yes . . . It will be interesting to see if the aggressive libido returns or we stick with the status quo as the pain recedes.
