Onto the matters of heels and stuff.
I've always fancied the idea of opening a strip club (and many peoples I've worked with in this industry have also expressed such an idea) where the ladies can just present themselves how they please. It could be a really fun place to work and I'm sure it would be sexier for the punters. And the music would be good or at least varied or at least not Christina Agueleria (sp?). I'm quite certain there is a market for it.
Oh man, I had a huge discussion about the idea of doing just this with my partner about a year ago. I love the idea of a strip club that is all about sexy, empowering perfomance art. If you ever decide to go ahead with the idea, let me know and I will be happy to help in any way possible! Maybe we could get a grant and try this for some sort of smaller art project... hmmm!
As for heels, I don't know if this was said as I've skimmed this conversation a little (not that this isn't an interesting conversation, but rather I have a lot to catch up on today) but arguably, one of the appeals of heels (so I've read) is the fact that they make the woman stand in a posture which puts the bust and buttoks (hehe "buttocks") at an appealing angle and also sort of immitates the angle the body is at ogasm?!?! I may have read this in a "Cleo"magazine at a doctor's office, however, so my sources are probably not terribly reliable.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but I have to just reply to this. I have no idea what high heels are supposed to do, but to me, they are absolutely not a turn on; women trying to look sexy in high heels always look fake.
Now please carrry on this thread as it was meant to be.

I'm not fond of platform shoes which is what I think we're talking about here, but I love some heels where the toe part of the shoe is flat or flattish and the heel is at the back especially with ankle straps. They do the same to your posture as platforms because the heel is raised the same hight above the toe but overall you haven't got so far to fall

Hmmm, just to clarify... I'm not defending high heels. I've never work them in my life for practical and personal reasons. Just saying what I've read, is all. Though, that being said, though I should never really have to add this disclaimer; whatever a women chooses to wear to feel sexy should always be entirely up to her.

OK just to clarify as well I agree and support Bobby's wish not to wear those shoes and do something much more creative with dancing.
Something occurred to me a few moments ago though. I did know a stripper when I was living in London, a friend went out with her for a while and she devised her own show around led Zeppelin, though I never actually saw it. Aren't there people who do stripping that way in Melbourne?
