Many people who embrace Christianity seem to be engaged in the stress and torture of fighting their libido and sexual feelings. Here I'd like to place why I think that situation has evolved.
I'd kind of define myself as a humanist and see Jesus in many ways as a pretty wonderful person. A lot of people ridicule his thoughts on sexual relationships but he didn't have sex or marry or have the opportunity to live beyond 30 so in those areas he can't be blamed for holding a mainly theoretical point of view. I think Christianity would've benefited enormously if he'd been able to get married and raise children and develop a wisdom of hindsight. I love many of his philosophical and emotional observations and it's a real shame he wasn't able to refine them in old age himself. The Buddha married, had children and lived until he was 80 and I think that 's a reason why both the vibe of his philosophical thoughts are so good and for me many of them seem so well developed and practical.

Blissed, you know who I think you'd like. Pornojesus. He hangs from the mirror in my car and informs my everyday decisions. He is an open minded soul who isn't afraid to take it in the face nor make romantic love under the moonlight in the heart of a thunderstorm. Luckily as Christians don't like the porn part of this Jesus (at least they try so so hard not to) his good name hasn't yet been ruined. He can be seen in the best museums of the world draped provocatively upon a cross in some pretty heavy bdsm play.
However I don't mean to make fun of this topic, just religious doctrine, which angers me because it still has so much influence over policy and culture and Africa and aids and human rights and other stuff. Blissed, you're not the first person I've know who thinks Jesus is ace but religion is crap, I've never understood this because I always believed that the later created the former, or is it that the later informs our understanding of the former, somewhat incorrectly?

There should be pornoJesus weddings.
In Las vagus of course
Rome said quite literally if you don't worship the emperor we will kill you. Jesus didn't, knowing this meant certain death. He and his later underground socialist passivist movement were about inclusive love and forgiveness and after 300 years passivist persuasion won and brought down the Roman Empire. That was a pretty powerful achievement. He had no experience of sex, What he was about was enormous selfless courage, compassion, love and passivism, which he didn't just write about but gave his life proving. So that was pretty fantastic. But he was just a person, with like us, areas of weakness, and hanging on his every word as if he had conclusively wise words to say about everything, simply because he was a celebrity and hero and then turning that into a doctrine, was a little ridiculous, but people do that don't they. As you know we had a guy here who kind of did that with Bob Dylan
