Just found out about Ted Kennedy. Was very upset. What he meant to me...
I have a fascination with tragic stories. I've seen so many visions and dreams of beauty, peace, and justice crumble and die. Kennedy gave a wonderful speech at the Democratic convention in 1976 that ended "and that dream will never die". And thatquote is sort of like a little light in the back of my mind, Sort of an "aure entuluva" that reminds me that the bad guys won't always win, that daylight really will return. He just never quit fighting for the right things, and it feels like after all these years maybe Atlantis will rise, maybe King Arthur will return, and a lot because Ted Kennedy was there. I wish he still was.

There will never be another Ted Kennedy.
However, I think that there are too many Rush Limbaughs around.

The rainbow flag in San Francisco's Castro district was raised to half-mast for Kennedy. That's quite an honour.
