I'm not really into the some of the lyrics but I like the track and I like that it's made number 1 for 2 days in the UK.

Jamie T - Sheila It's about a girl who is out in London, gets drunk, and stumbles in to the River Thames and drowns. The video almost doesn't work especially at the beginning. Some nice rhymes tho.

I'm so glad this thing is running again. Might I profer the opinion that music is even more important than sex. I can go days without masturbating, but not without tunage.
Right now, I'm enjoying Muse's new album, 'The Resistance', as well as 'Silent Shout' by The Knife, 'Drum's Not Dead' by Liars, 'Let Go' by Nada Surf and 'Bitte Orca' by Dirty Projectors, all of it really cool. I'm really really into interesting voices and voice manipulation stuff. It's so dizzying and dreamlike. But not that whole Cher-type voice manipulation thing. Something more subtle.
Does anybody still buy CD's? It's a real weakness of mine; even after I'd download an album and I really like it, I'd still want to own the CD. I still like the whole package element of CD's, and the concept of "the album". I'm not really into shuffle. I still enjoy listening to an album from beginning to end, but I have read tons of stuff that says "the album" is becoming a thing of the past. That would really, really suck, and I think it will actually set us back as a species. Yes, it will. Our diminishing attention spans are under attack enough as it is from various fronts.
I'll never be a wealthy man, or even a homeowner; way too addicted to buying art.
Is anybody in the forums a regular visitor to Pitchfork.com? What do you guys think of their Top 200 best albums of the decade list? I'm actually thinking of compiling a top 10 list of best albums and movies of the decade for the publication I write for. Maybe the forum folks can chip in with some ideas, remind me of some stuff.
Peace out. Keep the music thread alive.

I'm rediscovering The Fugees album The Score. It's 13 years old now and still stands up. Lauryn Hill is the best female rapper ever.

I should get that from you miss_a, I used to have it and it got lost in a massive CD pawning operation.
