A question for straight women

There seems to be a lot of straight women posting to this site. I would like to ask them what they get from the site. I understand that straight women are much more liable to watch sexual material featuring their own sex than straight men, and to respond to it sexually. Is it just a liberating, empowering, thing to watch the films, or do they get turned on?

May I try an "experimental" answer as a sexologist and sex lecturer - then I guess some "straight" women are going to give their point of view in answer to metrosexualbloke. In my Department, we use each year explicit sex material at the start of the courses with new students to show them how this type of material arouses anyone. In otherwords, sex is sexy and exciting! Now then, the approval or aesthetical judgment about the shown material may be very different according to people. Some people do say they found some of it real trash or hurting their emotional feellings - yet feeling excited by it! From that on, you may imagin all sorts of motivations for ladies watching IFM: information (in sex education classes at school, I have questions of girls 15 y. about "what is exactly masturbation?" or "how should (!) a girl masturbate?"), liberation, empowerment, arousal..etc. But in any of these registers you'd be almost sure that the person is going to be excited (aroused) by the sexual scene! What she may intimately then feel, think about or make of it is another matter...

Wowee Zowee!  What a technical answer, sexologist!  I am a straight woman, but I love this website!  I have learned so much about masturbation techniques, and the women are lovely and natural.  When there are men involved, they seem totally focused on pleasuring their partner.  To be honest, I was surprised to find out that men subscribed to this website.  All men should, just to see how silly porn is.  I would never say this was a porn website; it's too sweet to be called that.  And yeah, it's very much a turn-on to see women coming!

Love50, at first you surprised me by stating that you were surprised that men subscribed to the site. Then I considered what I have seen. The performers, when interviewd, are always interviewed by a female interviewer, and where there are several performers together they seem always to be young, and a "girls dorm" atmosphere seems to me to prevail. I know, we all are surprised!!  Isn't that a hoot?!  I so wish I could talk to my friends about this site...there is only one female friend that I have shared this with and one male, besides hubby.  Interestingly enough, hubby seems to have a harder time (no pun, really!) enjoying this site; I think he's been so conditioned to raunch that he is embarrassed by these artist's real orgasms.  Kind of that "I'd love to fuck that girl but I wouldn't bring her home to mom" mentality of our older gen.  Yeah, i'm love50 'cause I AM 50 (yikes!).

Good luck with hubby, Love 50. Keep at him. The more he sees of this sort of material, the more normal it will seem to him for people to express themselves in that way. I used to think nearly all the people who viewed this site were slightly arty, middle aged men with high disposable income. But then one of the members (Elfman) started a social forum drawn from other members which is now pretty much defunct, but while it was going quite a few people disposed with their anonymity and posted pics of themselves (clothed :) and talked about their lives, and out of 14 regular users, 3 were women who were IFM members ( and there was another 2 women who had joined later who had never been members of IFM but shared the same ethos,)  only 3 were men who fitted my original picture of an IFM member. There were all types of appearances too including some that are very attractive and it was suggested they contribute to the site and all ages too, from a girl of 18 to a guy of 68.

There aren't any stats. I just made that assumption as you usually shouldn't :)
