Yup. That's exactly what I hear every time he opens his mouth.

Not that recently. A lot of the real nasty sh!t that's currently going on has only come to light since the 2004 election. I heard of a new poll today that said if Bush had to face Bill Clinton in another election today he'd lose in a landslide... Clinton polls better than Bush even on personal honesty. Looks like my fellow Americans are finally wising up... to late to save us any of Bush's fated 8 years, but mabe we'll get to work on Congress later this year.
...so he must be doing something right!
Bite your tongue! As far as I can see, the only thing he's doing right is lying about all the things he's doing wrong.

Yawn! Same old stuff, Bush is the anti-christ. And the liberals are the saviors of the world.
(At least there is no "conservative's" here. Else we go into the political Flame war that infects so many other internet forums.)
Offline
It's not so black and white. Just because one believes Bush is the anti-christ doesn't mean they believe liberals are the saviors of the world.
But you can't be alive today, save being in a coma, and not realize that this is one of the worst administrations in the history of this country. Democrats may not be the answer but, at some point, you have to stop the bleeding to save the patient from certain death.

Granted Jakeview, I agree with you. But in many forums I see the same simplistic answer.
Impeach Bush, Cheney, etc. And come Next relection The democrats will win the white house. And "fix" the problems he created. (Of course, The How is usually never mentioned.)
Personly, I think there needs to more then two major parties in the US. But the Two party Caucas will not allow thier power base to slip. So I hope, pray, and vote libertarian.
btw- My wife's family is democrat military orientated, And when "draft dodger" Kerry was forced upon them. They protested and voted for Bush. While I voted for Harry Brown. The military does not want to be under the control of some UN mandate. And Kerry's dabate remark sealed his "fate" for my wife's family at least. (UN permission before declaring "war".)
Now they dislike Bush with a passion. They think he betrayed the country for some personal vendetta for his daddy, and oil.

I do, too. There's a lot of talk in the States about the 'sacredness' of the two-party system --- mainly from the two major parties themselves. They love being able to divide the political spoils up amongst themselves, with nothing for anyone else. The US would benefit from a parliamentary system. With all its faults, this would give 'minority' parties a real share of the power. Which is why it won't be allowed to happen any time soon.

Three-party politics is far from perfect IMO. Here in the UK, all it has done is to split the centre-left vote between Labour and the LibDems, which lumbered us with a Tory government between 1979 and 1997.
Anyhows, we have to be careful.........I suspect politics talk is banned on this forum.

I try to stay away from political debates as it has no bearing on our study, but this one did intrigue me due to the opinions from people from different countries.
One word.

Now, on to a more pleasant subject. Let's talk about sex, shall we?

I think a more accurate statement would be that President Bush offered a more detailed plan of action than John Kerry did. That was why I voted for him.

Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld are aboard Airforce One, returning from Iraq. Bush says, "I could throw 5 $1000 bills out of this plane and make 5 people very happy". Cheney says, "I could throw 50 $100 bills and make 50 people pretty happy". Rumsfeld says, "I could throw 500 $10 bills and make 500 people relatively happy". The pilot, overhearing this exchange, thinks, "You assholes! I could throw the three of you out of the plane and make 52 million people ecstatic!".
Not my joke. Not new to these guys. But oh so true.

What makes the Bush administration the worst?
Venality, a belief that God guides Bush, power, corruption, lies (sorry New Order), cooked intelligence, lack of intelligence, picking fights with no clear goal or plan to get out, incompetence in home security and disaster response, denial of scientific concensus,....
Enough?
For me, only two or three worse administrations: Buchanan (responsible for the civil war), Harding (epic corruption), Grant (ditto plus blew Reconstruction). Note no Nixon- as bad as he was, still better than Bush. History will not be kind.

Good point, Bish. Many in the US blamed Ralph Nader (Green Party candidate in 2000) for siphoning off votes from Democrat Al Gore and thus giving us two terms of George W. Bush. Some countries (i.e. Israel) have more than three parties with a share of power. I certainly don't know for sure what's best, but allowing multiple diverse parties to have *some* real power still seems to me only fair if a genuinely more representative government is what we're after. I imagine that political discussion in the forum is discouraged because it can get ugly. Maybe it's allowed so long as it's civil and respectful.

You're not making any sense. You feel he and his administration are of low intelligence yet apparently they are so smart they can make up false data and dupe the entire country.

Well despite what this website is about, having a healthy understanding of politics and world events is essential, I believe.
