Koori

I'm such a drip, I cried a bit when The Australian prime minister apologized to the descendants of the first culture to settle there, even tho it's got nothing to do with me really, but it's nice to know that an aspect of the part of the world this site is made in, will hopefully be a little happier and that the Koori culture (from the 1st settlers of south eastern Australia ) can now go forward with pride :)

I've just been told the Aboriginal community don't like the word koori, it's a shame tho becauase it's a word thats new to me and it sounds nice. it's nice to have a word to describe the culture, so if Aboriginal is what they like I'll use that. Anyway Australia already has the Corey, they wear large furry coats in the summer and very large spectacles that they never take off :)
