Female edging

I'm wondering, even at the ripe old age of late 50's, whether women, when masturbating "edge" like guys do.  Checking out IFM and other more "classy" masturbation oriented sites;, the contributors seem to, if they do what is considered more "natural" masturbating, either take a while to get reved up with self foreplay, and once sufficiently aroused, push to achieve orgasm with slower, then faster stimulation of their clit and vaginal areas, OR take a short voyage over their body and do a fast and faster rubbing until they cum, maybe with the idea of being in many cases multi-orgasmic to then move on to numbers two three four and more at the same feverish pace. 

Maybe it's becuase most men are not multiorgasmic in nature (I believe), and need a certain amount of a "break" to get started up again, that we tend to try and make things "last" longer, bringing ourselves to the "edge" but stopping short of orgasm several to many times when we're not "rushed" and then either slowing down or stopping for a short period, and repeating these steps until we can't "take it any more" finally finishing ourselves off.  Also a man's first orgasm is usually stronger than subsequent ones whereas it seems that a woman's second third and more orgasms are just as if not stronger than the first, so why edge and prolong the pleasure when they can more easily just "move on" to more?

The case in point is your most recent video of Olive who in her two vids while checking herself out in the mirror seem to have had 6 orgasms in a very short period of time, even with some editing and cutting.  Each one was fairly fast and furious without any signs in my eyes at least of edging.

Do women bring themselves to the brink of orgasm and then prolong the edge?  I'm very curious to know and if one of your contributors does, I'd certainly be one who would love to see it.

I like the way you put it lawrence11....edging. It is so a mood thing for me. I think I use to be more 'male' like and I would enjoy having a break between orgasms. I found having several orgasms in a row sometimes physically painful;  I have no idea if it's due to age and experience or just some things change but now I can have more in a row.
To be honest though I love 'edging' makes my orgasm so much stronger. I have to be careful though because sometimes if I don't time it just right I can lose the orgasm all together (which is INCREDIBLY frustrating)

I totally know what you mean Leda when you over do it on the edging, it can go two ways - either you end up having a HUGE orgasm at the end or you run the risk of never quite getting there.

Apart from that danger, I am a big edging practitioner, especially beause when I masturbate I usually set aside lots of time and space and make the most of the experience and playing with edging certainly makes it more interesting and exciting... sometimes I can do it for hours. I remember once a couple of years ago I was having the best session I think I've ever had, going to and from the brink for ages, it felt so good I didn't want it to end and then I fell asleep before the end! Maybe for the best though, might have been too intense for my body to handle When I woke up and realzied what had happened I laughed at myself and finished it off.

first of all, thanks for some replies from the participants here.  My second wife, (I've had three) was the only one that was a practioning masturbator.  Let's just say that of all the women that I've been with, she was the one that most turned me on because she could not have an orgasm unless she stimulated herself...(who knows...maybe that was my fault too?  I'll admit it), but she would often bring herself to the brink of orgasm and stop for a very short interval, then tease herself again to the brink and stop. 

But as was mentioned, she also did lose some of her orgasms by not finishing herself off sooner.  Again, my memory could be fading slightly LOL, but I don't feel that guys in that position very often lose their orgasm if they've gotten to the point unless some major distraction occurs and even then it's not tough to get back to the same point pretty easily.

The thing is that once we're done after edging a while, as I'm aging, I find it very difficult to get going again.  I also feel that part of a man's doing this routine is so as to practice making ourselves "last" longer when having intercourse so as to avoid a sudden ending to hot lovemaking?
