I agree with Liandra

Relating to something Liandra says in her interview with red_lace - what is patently missing on the web, or anywhere as far as I know, is well-made, respectful films of real couples who know each other well, making real love. Specifically relating to male/female couples, the nearest thing I can think of is scenes from "adult sex educational" videos, some of which can be extremely erotic. I'm one of those men who wants identify - place myself in the role of - the man in an erotic film, giving and receiving pleasure, but this is impossible in any (straight) conventional porn that I've seen. 

Anyway, I realise that it wouldn't appeal to some people here, but I think a place showing real couples - lesbian or straight ( I believe gay men are well catered for - maybe I'm wrong) would be very appealing to a lot of people.

Welcome to the Forum misericord.  This has been discussed a number of times here and we do try to film it when we can, but the process is difficult and it's rare for couples to offer themselves up for it.  But when we can get it, we'll show it to you.

I actually think that gay men have the same issues in choosing porn that straight folks do.  There is a mainstream industry with mainstream imagery, and there aren't really all that many alternatives to that.  There are a lot of smaller niches that cater to specific identities within the gay community, and if you don't know what those are, it might look like gay men have it all in the porn world, but straight folks have the same thing.  The fetishes and subcultures are just different.  And I doubt that you see any more real-life couples in gay porn than you do elsewhere.  The place where I reckon you'd see the most real-life couples per capita would be in alt queer porn - see Jackie Strano and Shar Rednour, and Pink and White productions, just off the top of my head.  There is a lot of attention in the alt-dyke porn world to showing the previously-existing chemistry between two people.

I agree entirely with misericord (wish I had used that name first, it is way cool!) and the reason that IFM/ISM/BA are so fabulous is because they show the truth. They are honest.

There are many hundreds of 'Mom and Pop' porn sites with genuine couples sharing with the world but ... the only one I studied for a few months, had the couples (they had friends!) behaving like porn stars! They were doing all the same poses and ghastly 'settings' and glitzy costumes, and pretending to be porn stars. Fair enough and I am sure that they have many happy customers.

The duo folios here (and in ISM) are an absolute delight.
