Written Smut

People are on this site because they like to watch and listen to women pleasuring themselves ("Hi Bob").  Euphemia recently talked about reading sexy things and how it turns her on.  What about you- does anyone else like written porn?  I was enjoying reading sexy things long before I started looking at naked women on the Internet (magazines and 70s and 80s novels!  fanfic! self-published novels straight to the Internet!  chats not so much ...)

Re: Written Smut

Yes, I've always enjoyed written sexy material as well as looking at naked women. The first things that turned me on were sexy novels by Hank Jansen. Later, I enjoyed detailed descriptions in sex surveys by Shere Hite and by Nancy Friday. I still love to read sexy stories on sites that are dedicated to them. That doesn't mean I don't look at and listen to women pleasuring themselves here though......

Re: Written Smut

I've never come across a piece which has stood out to me, although I haven't actively searched either seeing as visual porn has been so easily accessible to me and I'm a highly visual person.

However I'm interested in looking into some of the references people provide in this thread...

And if anyone knows of any Queer specific texts - swing me a link!

Re: Written Smut

I enjoy reading erotic material. I love the way it requires me to use my imagination and how I can shape the experience to my taste as I visualize things how I like. I keep a journal of my sexual adventures, and really enjoying revisiting my writings and wanking to them - I don't publish the writings, just share them with my lovers. It's a really nice way to be taken back to those moments long after.

Oh I love the idea of that kind of documentation Mikaela. Down the track you could turn it into a short stories book, a zine or a type of art piece. So many fun possibilities.

oh, that would be fun!  A chance to learn what your partner really likes and get ideas for things to try without a giant 'yes / no / maybe' list.

Ooh, I am painfully straight but I can do bibliographies!

Maybe Violet Blue's Digita Publications https://www.digitapub.com/ ?  I think the guy who runs Quickie New York is in to guys https://quickienewyork.com

Edit: oh, and Elf Sternberg has a site for his fanfic https://pendorwright.com/starkingdom/  He swings like the saloon door in one of those old Westerns.

Using queer in the broad sense, the person who runs https://eroticmadscience.com is in to the things that the weird pulps of the 1920s and 1930s and the men's mags of the 1950s explored, from tube girls to vore.  And Rain DeGrey and her lover have a podcast https://www.raindegrey.com/writing/  I think she did some shoots for Kink dot Com in California because she is in to some pretty estoeric things and it was easier to call them porn and have someone else pay for the equipment and the helpers and the setup and takedown.

I love the idea of a short stories book! I've thought about creating a blog, but I don't want to accidentally make it feel like an obligation, rather than something I really want to do.

It's a really nice way to give my partners insight into how I experienced things in the moment, I find it much easier to write things down rather than verbalising them.

Yeah I feel that - you don't want it to start to feel like a chore.

It really is a very nice idea!
And do you also keep a small diary of your masturbations by indicating the day, the time, the place, how you were dressed, how long it lasted, the number of orgasms you had, what you had? looked, what or who did you think about, if you used a sex toy or just your hands? It would be wildly exciting to read this!

I don't document every single time I masturbate, but sometimes I will send a lover a message afterwards talking about what I just did and how it felt. A masturbation diary is a great idea, but it would take up a lot of time with the amount of wanking I get up to!

Re: Written Smut

I will generally pursue any avenue that turns me or my partner on but I've never really gotten into erotic lit. However a dirty message from a partner, that's different, that can be a huge turn on tongue Especially a very involved one, perhaps even she writes out a long fantasy or something, which i guess technically is an erotic short story.

If you can't keep a little diary of all your masturbations, maybe you can write a text or two about the last times you did it? It would be wonderful to read them...

Hey Alsbosilver, as I've said, the only time I "document" masturbating is if I am sending a message to a partner - I won't be sharing these with the IFM community as neither my partner nor I would be comfortable with that. It's not something that I do otherwise, it doesn't have any appeal to me and I wouldn't authentically enjoy it.
