Honestly, I really like the words "masturbate" and "masturbation." I don't feel the need for slang - although I can see how you would need to vary your word choice if you were writing descriptions. Euphemisms usually exist because the subject of the original word was taboo and I want to get over those taboos.

Besides, it has multiple syllables. So you can draw it out and say it in a Barry White voice to make it sound sexy or a Jim Thirwell voice to make it sound smutty.

Possibly the most amusingly color euphemism I've read for female masturbation (one that really lives little to the imagination) was "dialing for O on the pink telephone!"

We have a nice, very sweet word in French to say masturbate: "to caress", which women or young girls use a lot, a little modestly ... but honestly, I don't know any word as powerful, beautiful, deeply human , exciting and promising that "masturbation"

I think that one of the advantages of 'wank' is its flexibility. It can be used easily as a verb (I wank every morning) or as a noun referring to a specific event (I had a wank this morning).

An English comedian, Sarah Millican, said on television recently that she had picked up a recommendation for treating a migraine - "two Nurofens  and a wank".  She added laughingly, "and it worked."  That's still quite a saucy admission for a young lady to make on UK television. But you couldn't do it it with words like 'masturbate' or 'jerk-off'.

I kind of like 'jilling off' as a verb for female masturbation.

'se caresser' is beautiful Alsbo. Nothing like it in German unfortunately.
