Something I thought funny

Yesterday i got a bootle of wine as a gift for a special occasion that I would sooner have forgotten about because of the giant number attached, but back to the gift.

The bottle of wine was bottled in NZ (down under), has a pic of a cat on the label, has a seal that has cat paw prints, and the name of the wine is Cat Pee on a GooseBerry Bush

I just thought I would share that for what it's worh.

Blissed: I'm almost afraid to try it. Somebody at work said they have seen that bottler and they have another wine with a pic of a ultra large cat on the label, that one is called Fat Bastard

Hi Ashmedi and I hope you had a lovely birthday. As to the bottle of very fine NZ wine, don't be afraid to drink it. It's meant to be a very good white wine, a sauvignon blanc. My understanding is that the wine maker (Coopers Creek) decided to have some fun when thinking up the name. Personally I think the Kiwis have an odd sense of humour and marketing because I'd be worried about something called Cat's Pee, but you know, the Kiwis are different.

The wine is described as "youthful, kittenish ... full of zing and zip". It won a bronze medal in the Air NZ Wine Awards in 2005.

DG44: Thanks and thanks for the info. I do like companies who have a sense of humour. A guy at work told me the same winery also markets one with an obese cat on the label called "Fat Bastard"

A very long time ago I was using a DOS computer app called Laplink and the programmer who worked on the various color options had a sense of humour, all the color schemes were called by the strangest names, and the only one I still remember was called "Just Plain Ugly", . . . . and it was , about 20 different putrid colours that clashed and made it almost impossible to read.
