@smoothed how do you play ringfit without jogging?

I select the a la carte mode (not the actual name I can't recall what it is) and build my own workout. I like to mostly focus on leg and core work!

Priv, I'm so so sorry to hear you've had some problems in the ol' headbrain. It's sounds like you're doing as much as you can though, and now more than ever people need to be extra kind to themselves. Do you use reddit? You can pick and choose what you follow, so maybe ditch twitter and give it a go? It's still occasionally a cesspool of course (as is the nature of the internet itself) but there's also some really lovely things on there too. When I feel overwhelmed lately I like to make pretty pictures on https://29a.ch/sandbox/2011/neonflames/. It sounds a bit silly but it's really soothing. I really want to try embroidery too! My Mum taught me a bit when I was a teen but I want to re-learn her techniques, as I was pretty rubbish from memory. I hope your book is going well and helps you deal with all the stuff and make it less awful.

Hi redbird,

thank you so much!  I have not had time to post because I was moving out of my country of residence in the plague time but I wanted to thank you.

  Headbrain, what a beautiful word!

A problem is that my creative energy  / problem solving energy comes and goes, drawing might be simple enough that I don''t get stuck with technical problems .  Not many things can go wrong with a brush and some paints or a case full of pencils!

I remember finding some nice subreddits!  There was one I read for personal finance back when I had an income to manage, and another for my home town.  You can be a bit more focused on reddit than on FB or twitter, you are not one retweet away from lots of nasty distracting depressing things.

I finally got a part-time job!  Steady income here I come.  I have started to be able to draw again too.

Oof, feel that (re: creative energy). Thank you so much for getting back to me and filling me in. I'm so pleased to hear that you have an income and the big main stressors are more manageable now.
