I will keep my eyes open for more mature ladies too. My opinion, based on the available litterature (including studies) on the topic is that people have always masturbated (there are interesting antique Greek explicit representations of masturbation scenes) as animals are doing because they are not influenced by media, religion or whatever else but only by their own needs.
Indeed, it's less and less taboo, so people now admit to do it, whereas before they didn't for various reasons.

I don't think older women have any less need to masturbate or do less than young women. But the shame and guilt indoctrinated over centuries, arose from ascetic philosophies and religions, but also from patriarchal oppression of women, have contributed a lot to making female sexual pleasure taboo. It is gratifying to see that today's young women are freeing themselves more and more from this archaic crap. This may be even more difficult for older women.

Honestly my general feeling is not that older women are less sexual or more ashamed - it's just they generally don't require the validation and exposure which motivates younger women's interest and curiosity. I think generally if older women are shooting for us, it's cause it's fun, like a lark, or maybe to stir their own private sex lives up a bit. Or they may simply be vain (I say that with absolute respect, I don't consider it a defect nor very unusual for the human condition) - but yeah, I'd say there's something identity-building and world-exploring that young women get out of exhibitionism that older women probably don't need as much anymore, in the same way.

That makes total sense. I'd guess younger women might have more of a tendency to take doing this more seriously or put more weight on it. While older women who may have more of a sense of self may be more likely to take it on as purely fun. Exhibitionism is a whole different topic, though. I can relate it to art modeling, which I've done a bit of. One of my first times was being paired with a woman who was around 60. No, I think girls and women masturbate as much in the 15th century as they do in the 21st...it's a vital function...but I think they talk about it more easily indeed. Thanks to this wonderful site, we learn a lot of things on this subject... Kisses!
