here's my super low-quality webcam, doing what it does best: grain. so much grain it's gonna knock me out of ketosis. I do love the way I look on a webcam though...

ah, this borrowed computer is so slow and old, but I've had to use it since my trusty old faithful broke at the hinge. can't wait to get to Aus and pick up the beautiful new replacement laptop I ordered! It's an Asus Zenbook Flip 14 and I think it's literally the only one in the whole world in Gold, except for one in Canada which has a french-canadian keyboard so it is basically not a computer. I'll send you a picture from its webcam when I get it!

no seriously I know my laptop-to-be isn't gold, but gold coloured, and it's probably not even bright - I don't want bright! All I wanted was something not grey or black! American computers are so dull looking! I wanted this computer:

but everywhere I looked only had it in the dark colour! I seriously searched high and low. You guys I put so much freakin effort into this laptop search... I went to brick and mortar stores... I tried:

HP spectre - good specs and nice colours but the 13.3 just too small
Dell XPS 13 and 15 - good colours but 13 too small, 15 too heavy and overall just too expensive and just not IT
Lenovo yoga - those hinges are so gaudy
LG Gram - 15 inch didn't come in white, no touchscreen, flimsy chassis, specs weak for price
Microsoft Surface 2 - honestly gorgeous, but just way too expensive for what it offered
Various Asus Zenbooks to replace the one I had and loved (305 model) - seriously just something wrong with all of them, and didn't want to spend $700 just to replace my 2015 model!

I was at the end of my rope! I'm in Uni full time on-line and also this Feck gig is ya know kind of important to me so... my computer is a big part of my life!

Anyway. I went crazy forever. I don't know how I made it to the Zenbook Flip 14 but it has everything I want and oh my gosh, it comes in a light colour... okay where can i get it... oh, NOWHERE? okay Asus thank you

They have it in South Korea (South Korea has all the newest computers in all their most beautiful colourways) but I can't deal with that bilingual keyboard and Korean power supply.... so I finally tracked it down in Canada, but Best Buy Canada wouldn't ship to the US... also, if you've ever typed on a French keyboard, that just wasn't gonna work for me either!

So when I found it on sale in the Asus store on asus.au .... of course... too perfect.I'll just have it shipped to my new place, where I'm arriving this coming week. HUGE sigh of relief. this computer problem has been plaguing me for months.

Okay let's be real I am paying a couple of hundred dollars extra just to have it in my stupid light gold colourway. But why does everything in America have to be black and sad and grey and dark and miserable!!! fuck that. Aus, and my beautiful new computer that will match my stuff, here I come <3
