A tactile tapastry of tantalizingly taboo textures

Who want's to weave me one?

A few days ago I was discussing sexual tastes in texture with friends as part of a broader conversation on depictions of male vs female physicality/sexuality (the whole lie of men are icky women are pretty) but the main point here is texture.

Do textures do it for you? if so what kind? do you like silky smooth like highly poliched limestone, sharp velcro, dusty dry gravel, the springy softness of wool. Is your devotion to a texture purely sensational or does it give you a sense of nostalgia reminding you say of the carpet burns on your ass from a memorable fuck or the cotton dress a primary school crush wore.

Do you mean if there is something in the texture of an object that releses a feeling of sensuality? (not nessessarily sexual)

After giving it some thought, I really can't think of anything that "did it" for me. Perhaps I need to get out more.

Well... there was nothing in my dark side that really interested me. I guess I just dont have what it takes to be a bad guy.

When it comes to fabric against my bare skin, I love 100% cotton flannel sheets.  This MAY have some nostalgic aspect; I did grow up in the midwest, and times were tough for my family back when I was a kid.  I had to bed down through many bitterly cold winters, protected mainly by heavy layers of cover and quilt, in times when my father could only afford to heat a couple of rooms of the house.

Still, I like the FEEL of flannel sheets as well.  Two warm bodies spooning together in bed, held between two layers of soft smoothness, is my idea of Heaven.  And when the mood hits and the top sheet gets tossed back, the bottom sheet has, well, nice absorbent qualities . . .  Anyway, for me it is always a bit sad when summer comes and the lighter sheets go on the bed.

As far as the world out of the bed is concerned, I like the feel of stainless steel, brushed aluminum, etc.  I've always wanted a room with all-metal walls (although I believe that once you get a room like that, you are morally bound to install a supercomputer, aim satellite-based missiles at all major continents, and blackmail the world, all while sitting in a big revolving chair in the middle of the room and stroking a cat).  I like the feel of metal, but not sharp edges.

Oh, and I also have certain fond memories involving smooth cinder-block walls (and no, I haven't done time).

Re: A tactile tapastry of tantalizingly taboo textures

What a thought provoking question. Textures. Well, yes in fact. Combined with a particular item of furniture, the humble sofa or lounge suite.

I'm thinking of those sofas that are covered in a textured, wool-like (I think it's acrylic) material. With raised lines (warps and wefts??) making a texturised pattern.

Anyway, these types of sofas I find quite sensual to sit on. And whilst I don't look at one and immediately feel horny, if I am in a pensive, horny mood, sitting on this rough-yet-soft texture makes me want to take my knickers off and generally get naked. I think it's purely the sensuality of the rough fabric against my skin. I start to fantasize about what it would feel like against my naked butt, and if the raised bits would tickle my vulva. It's lovely sensation to have beneath me when I'm wanking or fucking.

Soft, soft, ultra soft cotton tops are another sexy fabric for me. I love the smooth softness constantly caressing my breasts (especially if I'm bra-less). In this case it's more the constant caressing of the nipples that is invoking the sexy feelings.

I wear the cotton fabric because it makes me feel sexy and sensual, not because it makes me horny. Whereas the textured sofa thing is more about becoming aware of the texture as I sit upon it and then thinking/fantasizing about it.

My office chair (at home) is covered in textured fabric. It often gets a work out. big_smile

As a young man I had a fondness of sofas of all types, but more for situational reasons.  Sofas were, after all, one of those places in which you hadn't TECHNICALLY taken a girl to bed, but you still knew that things could go all the way if caution was thrown to the wind.  Also much comfier than the back seat of a car, in my opinion.

Besides, it is almost an unspoken teenage boy rite of passage to, at one point or another, flip over on your stomach on a lonely afternoon and let the sofa itself help you out.  Call it the male Bisou, if you will.

A) Zoinks!

B) At what point does that become deductible as a business expense?

I love flannel against my skin... it's not sexual... I just love flannel.

I got fourteen degrees while on my lunch take. Now I can legally prescribe marriages in the state of Kansattica.

Re: A tactile tapastry of tantalizingly taboo textures

Ooh yeah!! :) satins and silks and soft pale warm skin, and most textures of long hair from silky smooth to fluffy and tossled. Frills and petticoats of rubber and  those raincoats that look satin or silky are so sexy and crisp ironed plain cotton too and clothes that arn't too tight but leave enough room for the fabric to move and in moving sort of caress your body for me. and thats it I think :) if I think of any more I'll just add it.
Anyway, for now thats my tactile tapastry of tantalizingly taboo textures :) thats a really good thread title!

Re: A tactile tapastry of tantalizingly taboo textures

For me, yep silk is up there.

I do like the feel of a thin cotton summer dress on a girl, with the skin so near. There is a memory attacthed to this though, with my ex-gf at a beach in St Thomas, Caribbean

And as far as couch textures, i love the big puffy soft brushed leather couches. I don't know the right term for them, but i just love the feel of them and then sitting in the and just melting
