Bolero please, when ever you want to, I would be pleased if youd like to post about the Kava ceremony and how important it is to you.

Blissed, the Kava ceremony is not outstandingly important to me. I simply provided the opportunity for anyone who had been to a Kava ceremony to join the thread. Is that not what the game is about? Seeing that half a million people visit Fiji every year from Australia, NZ, America and Britain and a few Asians as well, it's not unrealistic to suppose that some of those people might be IFM members. Your response to that was so fatuous and rapid that anyone who had actually experienced a Kava ceremony and might have replied - didn't and couldn't.
But then you said that you had googled it and blithely announced that you hadn't read it anyway and came up with the preposterous idea that it looked like some sort of sex thing. Are you not able to see how insensitive that is - even in a game thread? I'm not a Pacific Islander, but I know enough about the cultures of the Pacific and the peoples who inhabit it, to know that the remarks you made would incense them; even though some of them may very well laugh them off as Pacific people do at times. It doesn't alter the hurt they feel. Then you came at me with your "bunch of herbs" line and I felt that was really taking the mickey out of the Kava ceremony. Finally you stood on your dignity about the whole issue and I am reminded of the whole colonial experience once again. Yes I got heated about it but don't tell me I got heated about nothing, because after a lifetime of hearing snide, frivolous remarks about cultural treasures I still haven't got used to hearing them and probably never will. I bear you no malice Blissed even though I am pretty angry about what you have said. It's what you have said that I'm angry about and not you.
I don't suppose for a second that any of this means any sense, but since you have offered the opportunity to speak about it, away from the playing field so to speak, then I will accept the offer and thank you for it.

I've apologised publicly to you twice, offered a thread to try and understand your point of view and you seem, to treat this as a sign of weakness and are still unnecessarily aggressive. This is a perpetual male problem. When angry and on the point of conflict you have to show self discipline to control it or the discipline comes from your opponents retaliation. I've shown you no anger or retaliation, in fact I've apologised and offered you my protective herbs but humour seems to insight you rather than calm you down and you seem to need an opponents retaliation to correct you. Discipline should come from inside not be imposed by someone else. I disagree with much of what you have to say here but I'm not going to respond to you while your so aggressive and I'm not going to allow someone to personally attack me and insult me and make no comment of it. There may be an interesting discussion to be had here but definitely not a heated debate, I just don't do them. It's a discussion about different cultures and also a discussion about maleness and male aggression and anger and the causes of war, hate and confrontation, and conflict resolution. (ah if only women ran the world ) You may be angry about this post but I'd ask you to please control that by waiting and posting later. because if later on your tone is more consiloritory, then I'd like to have an interesting and polite discussion with you here in the spirit of friendship.

Blissed I do not think that you are weak and nor am I a victim of perpetual male aggressiveness or without humour. We are not going to agree on this and I am happy to agree to disagree.

I think you launched a personal attack on me that was totally unwarranted, now you refuse to discuss or explain yourself civilly. I think that's a pretty shoddy way to treat someone who has shown no aggression towards you and has gone out of their way to welcome you into the forum.
On Dec the 5th I received an email from Burlesque saying that you felt people were avoiding you and you had been disappointed at the reception you'd received in the forum, So I made a special point of welcoming you and acknowledging your posts, http://www.ifeelmyself.com/forum/viewto … 873#p13873
I think you feel no guilt about how you treated me just now and instead are actually rather pleased. Kava seems to mean very little to you personally, you've made a mountain out of a molehill and you have a vague point you can't explain properly or politely, you've been constantly adversarial and confrontational and your refusal to discuss this at all now seems to be a part of that. You feel no guilt about this and usume my feelings can be hurt without apology. I know know what Gala has gone through in the recent past and it's not pleasant.
For he sake of the spirit and atmosphere of the forum, I'd like to make this my last post on this.

Blissed, I have no personal angst against you whatever. None, none at all. The very last thing I want to do is hurt you or anybody else. I am definitely NOT pleased about how this has all turned out and, in fact, am pretty bloody dispirited by it. I am very, very sorry Blissed and that is a personal and public apology to you from my heart.

I used to love partaking of Kava kava, But the taste and after resulting ulcer stopped my slide to "anxiety free" days.
I would love to talk about herbs, if any body wants to partake? (ie other "legal" recreational herbs.)
