Just thought I would say hello form my little internet cafe in the heart of Rome. I made it here from Glasgow earlier this evening, and now I'm just spending some time in the evening as it's a little late to go exploring. I do however have myself a tour around the Vatican booked for tomorrow morning, as well as other tours of The Colloseum, Ancient Rome, etc....

However, and tips from people who have been would be appreciated. I'm here on my own over new year, and so I only have responsibility for myself. It's a bit lonely sure, but then I also quite like it that way. I've done a fair bit of travelling on my one and I wouldn't let it stop me. Besides, it beats just sitting around the house whilst I'm off work for 2 weeks. That and the only other real option I had was to spend Hogmany* at the golf club with my parents. Fun I'm sure, but I'm quite happy to bugger off to somewhere new.

Hope you've all got your plans for Hogmany sorted.
