P.S. This is just an FYI - I thought y'all would get a laugh out of it.

Awesome! I loved the quote from Gaby Hoffman: “If I just stay true to what I like, every decade or so I come into fashion”. She's so cool.
It was annoying to hear the Uni K representative in the first article say that having complete brazilian wax is more hygenic. It's the opposite, the likelihood of getting infected ingrown hairs after a wax makes it less hygenic than regularly washed pubic hair.
I looked up the Steven Klein photos of Stoya mentioned in the third article - it was really interesting to see how masculine he had made her look.
On another note, people still find ways of profiting from women's insecurity about pubic hair in countries where a full bush is the ideal. In South Korea, pubic hair transplants are becoming popular to treat the probably much over reported problem of pubic atrichosis. You can read about it here

Despite that I would still rather that bushy pubes were more accepted in the mainstream, and I could go to communal bath houses full of hairy women...

Devochka the Japanese baths in our neighborhood are full of hairy women! at least when me and my friends are there. we should go one day...

We should totally go, maybe over Christmas break? Is it better to go on a hot or cold day?

I love Gaby Hoffmann who is currently starring in the HBO Series "Girls" created by Lena Dunham. I was unfamiliar with Stoya, but after some "Googling" found some of her sultry photos and videos. I would love to see Gaby, Lena, and Stoya, on IFM...

She's a great actress and portrayed the free spirit/borderline personality disorder character really well. She's also in Frances Ha, a great movie about the life of a quirky 27 year old in New York shot in black and white on a Canon 5D. I think IFM footage is occasionally shot on the 5D (I might be wrong). You can see a trailer for it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBn5dgXFMis and it's available on the Canadian Netflix.
Adam Driver who plays Adam in Girls is also in Frances Ha. He's also going to be in the new Star Wars movie, I'm so excited because I think he's a total babe. I hope that he has some semi nude scenes in the Star Wars movie...
I imagine Stoya would do IFM if she was in Melbourne, she seems pretty open to different styles of erotic work. I met her and James Deen briefly at a photo op thing at Sexpo last year. She's shorter than me and has a lithe beauty that reminded me of a ballerina. It was amazing to see that her skin really is that perfectly smooth and pale, they really don't touch it up very much in photos. She was sweet to me but the next guy in line harassed her and asked for her real name and she told him where to go.

Gaby and Lena as well! I think IFM would get huge international attention if that happened. Imagine a video diary by Lena Dunham!!

Here are Lena Durham's independent films that I think you would like, "Tiny Furniture" which was filmed in her apartment home in NYC;

and "Creative Nonfiction" (2009)

Her book is really good, too.
"Not That Kind of Girl".
Her HBO series "Girls" is available on Amazon.com Instant Video.

Ooh I just watched the first minute of Creative Nonfiction before realising it wasn't a trailer, I'll bookmark that one for when I get home! I want to watch the movie she's imagining. I really like Tiny Furniture and Girls, and read her book as soon as it came out. I actually filmed myself masturbating naked after reading it, then reading this excerpt where Lena talks about her mum's naked selfies:
"See these hips, these teeth, these eyebrows, these stockings that bunch and sag at the ankles? They’re worth capturing, holding on to forever. I’ll never be this young again. Or this lonely. Or this hairy. Come one, come all, to my private show."
I would upload it but it might possibly be edited and released on IFM so I'd better not.

Lena's mother - Laurie Simmons and her father - Carroll Dunham are renown artists.
Interesting enough, some of her father's work is on topic...

Wow I really really love those paintings! It must have been such a stimulating environment to grow up in. Her parents' last names are different - I wonder if they are together?

As far as I know they are together, I have seen nothing to the contrary. I think it is just a case of Laurie Simmons' keeping her professional name.
The "Tiny Furniture" set is for sale in Tribeca, New York City.

I would love to live there.

Stoya has been one of my all-time favorite mainstream porn actresses for some time. I envy you, Devochka, for getting to meet her, even in a professional setting. One of my close friends is a well-known porn actress and she's one of the sweetest, most-down-to-Earth people I know.

I really liked Laurie Simmons' work, especially Colour Pictures, Cafe of the Interior Mind and Walking and Lying Objects. Growing up around all of that tiny furniture must have had an interesting effect on Lena.
Monotreme, it was a good experience, maybe you'll be able to meet her at a similar kind of event one day.

Thanks for linking Creative Nonfiction, I watched it last night. It's probably one of the most amateur films I've ever seen, with Lena looking at the camera, shadows of boom mics and being shot completely hand held. I agree with her professor who described it as looking like really low budget porn, that's exactly what it reminded me of! But I enjoyed the intimate and real feel that gave it. Also very funny and relatable for me, she was good at making believable characters and dialogue even back then. Thanks!
