So if I read between the lines, I would infer that you are not planning on being in Ontario this weekend ????

I don't feel rage, but the lust part fits like a glove.

Sorry to hear about your Broadband problem Elf. (I've sent you a private email in the hope that you can access it).
Yes, barring disasters, I am looking forward to seeing you in The Whitehouse after the play on Friday. See you then.
Good luck (with the Broadband repair)

Thanks guys. First night went well. It was such a relief after three terrible dress rehearsals. (Broadband still very hit and miss. I'm having major problems getting emails out).

I just got in after the final show and I'm as pissed as a fart. It went amazingly well. A really appreciative audience really enjoyed a fine performance by a first rate cast. (Though I say so myself).
That's one show out of the way and I have a dress rehearsal for Cinderella tomorrow. (I just hope that I can remember the lines ).
One of the nicest things about this show was that I got to meet JF last night. It will come as no surprise to anyone to hear that he is a lovely man. Very warm and genuine. We chatted for an hour or so about various things including IFM. We will get together one evening for a more relaxed pint or two of brown foamy liquid in one of the Leeds hostelries once the pantomime is over. It is an evening I am looking forward to.

That is thoroughly borne-out by his postings here.
Sounds like very good time.

Hey Elf thats your first drunken post!! it was good, very coherent
It must be nice to meet someone in person who you've met on the internet,
and the meeting goes well. because the chances of you meeting someone with such a high degree of commonality in the usual way is quite slim.

I'm flattered guys! Thank you both for your kind words.
(Sorry I've not responded sooner, but one more thing Elf and I have in common is Broadband problems. I've had the Devil's own job of even getting a connection for the last two days! My ISP is supposedly "looking into the problem" which I believe is a "local area problem" as my Brother-In-Law, who only lives about half a mile away, has been experiencing similar difficulties. But trying to convince my ISP of that is like banging your head against a brick wall.
Late this evening I have at last managed to get a connection for the first time today - not a lot of good at 1.00am with work in the morning!)
I have promised Elf that I will post a review of the play on the Forum and I will, as soon as I get the time between Broadband problems and hospital visits to see my Father, to give it the thought it really deserves. (Anyway, I'll have to post the review, like it or not, as Elf has threatened to press the "ban" key if I don't! .... the heartless sod!
Very quickly, before I lose my connection again. The play (Alan Ayckbourn's "Family Circles") was hilarious and the acting standard for an amateur dramatic company was exceptionally good. Our beloved Elf, in particular, being an extremely accomplished actor. (Although he thinks he was "a bit off in the first half of the play". If that was "a bit off", I'd like to see how good you are when your on form then, Elf!)
The real "highlight" of the evening though was meeting our illustrious moderator in the pub after the show. (The JF/Elf Mutual Appreciation Society here we go!) Whilst we only had about an hour to chat, The Elf is, as I'm sure you'd expect, the warmest, most considerate, caring man I think I have ever met and we seem to have many interests (even outside of IFM!) in common and I too am looking forward very much to, what I sincerely hope and believe, will be a long and lasting friendship!
And yes Elf, I'll post a review soon ... in the meantime, just keep your finger away from that "banning" key!
I'm now hoping to take my wife, daughter and granddaughter with me to see the Cinderella production in a week or two .... that should be fun .... imagine .... The Elf in drag as one of the "ugly sisters" - ha ha! Can't wait!!!
Must go to bed now or I'll never get up for work in the morning!
