Aa, "cleanliness," besides physical cleanliness (i.e, taking shower everyday and keeping your body untatooed and unpierced), is a semblance of "virginity"--opposite of sluttiness, whorishness, jadedness.

Of course "virginity" is a metaphor for "cleanliness."  While I certainly do not object, I don't expect a real virgin doing it on IFM. What I want is a semblance of "cleanliness"; i don't care much if the models are a whore inside.

Tattoos, injection marks (drugs), piercings (is this the word?) except earrings, thick make-up, dyed hair, shaved pussy, fake boobs--they all remind me of sluttiness and whorishness.

I even don't mind if the women don't shave their legs, not to mention their armpits.

monkey13 your stating your preferences as if you were getting a new car to order "don't like plastic seats I like the seats simple but comfortable" Thats fine when your talking about a thing that has no feelings, but when your talking like that about another person, you sound like a slave trader. I don't want to set myself up as a guru but if you read some of my post here from another thread, I think it explains why I honestly feel you think what you've said is fine.

I think the big area at the mo is about the contempt shown generally to women who like to express sexuality. and just general contempt that is almost subconscious and makes our mind afford less respect in many small ways to something we think has less value and that is were the language comes in. Slut or stud smile both have very different subconscious connotations but actually mean the same thing. A good part of the male libido is what has informed this consistently disrespectful attitude to women and makes abusing them sexually arousing, but that, in a civilised society and what any one with any common sense can see doesn't inform our whole attitude to women but as many women have reciprocal fantasies that belongs within the realms of private consensual mutual sex and very definitely fantasy. So I think the big issue now that the first wave of feminism has had an impact is about subconscious contempt and true equality that puts the slut and the stud on an equal footing.

Sex involves engaging with other people and in doing so exposes the way you feel about other people and the world around you, and when sex is meretricious, it's still about inclusive love, and at the least, it doesn't really hurt to be polite and afford some respect to people who give you pleasure. Anyway, I hope you stick around to read the forum and get to know what the sites all about.

Re: Studio lighting!

Polarchill, I'm smiling now and the sounds of things being smashed seems to have died down in the office.

Today has indeed been eventful and educational. I'm going to inspect every man's genitals that I encounter from here on, to see if they haven't changed colour on account of how much sex they've been having. If you see some crazy woman flailing her arms and ordering you to 'drop trou' its probably me, checking that you aren't a 'slut'. I think it is entirely sane and reasonable to judge someone on the basis of what you think (*not backed by science) might happen to someone's skin from 'over fucking' or frequent masturbation.

I do actually lurk around the forum quite a bit, in between the insanity of the office and sometimes report little snippets of what happens here in blogland. I've always been impressed with the goings on in here, even if sometimes I struggle to keep up with some of the more intellectual and political discourse. That said, I'll try not to only post when I see idiots, lest you think I'm permanently on a short fuse and keeping a flame thrower and box of grenades close to hand here at reception. If, however, you still want to ask richard for a pay rise, I won't stand in your way...

Re: Studio lighting!

I'm just too angry to write after reading monkey13's posts. Thank you so much to those who are able to articulate a response to such ... archaic? sick? ideas.

On the subject of the colour of one's vagina and labia, might I suggest the consultation of a medical text. Most women's genitalia undergo a darkening of colour due to pregnancy, childbirth and general ageing. It's to do with hormone levels, not sex.

*sigh* so, it's true, there are still dinosaurs roaming the earth ...

Re: Studio lighting!

It's entirely possible to change someone from a dinosaur to something better by engaging them  and observing peoples anger is the start of that process because they can see they've done something wrong and people do have every right to be angry at what he's said. But I think engaging them is best, so Monkey13 if you want to email me, your welcome to do that, especially if your bewildered as to why you've got this reaction.

Re: Studio lighting!

Blissed, you're a good person. I think I'm more frustrated than angry now. I find it difficult to put into words just why Monkey13's posts angered me and I don't have a clue as to how to go about changing his views (I assume screaming at him won't help ... no wonder I was never good at sales jobs!).

I feel disgusted by Monkey13's words. And I think it's important that he knows he has done this by his words. I like to keep an open mind, I like to think that Monkey13 is actually a nice person. Part of me wonders how he came to have the views he expresses. We all have our stories of who and what we are, we all carry emotional baggage. I hope Monkey13 engages in further discussion. We are all capable of changing our views especially when we realize we are being unfair or disrespectful ... or just plain wrong.

I'm moving house over the next few days but I will be keen to pop in to the forum and read how this particular discussion pans out.

Re: Studio lighting!

Damn it, this thread was actually almost intelligent at one point, and I for one feel there is reason to discuss almost any aspect of the production of the videos (if only for the reason that I believe the production will stagnate if there is never any discussion at all), but now the silly simian has gone and ruined it all.

Re: Studio lighting!

I think Blissed had the answer in another thread.

On this forum, You have the world. Some parts are archaic, Some are more modern. Some has its quirks that we like. Like Seinfeld. Other quirks we hate. Like Monkey13's Value's.

How we respond to them is up to us.

On Changing his views, Why does he have to conform to our value's. Isn't that like the IMF to third world countries? (Yes, I am a ironic asshole. smile)

Btw- Sexual arousal will darken the labia. ie engorged with blood. I vote for a training Vid for monkey13.

Re: Studio lighting!

I didn't want to start a new thread just to ask this question, so I'll dump it here (seems appropriate, right after a Richard-post):   Was an entire thread removed some time today?  The thread I have in mind had four posts when I last viewed it. I suppose it had the potential for a flame war, although when I last saw it things seemed fairly benign.  I recall it being in the main category (which did cause me to wince) rather than here in general.

Yes I removed a thread.  The poster gave a list of things he wanted to see people doing in the videos, and the rest of the posts were justified flames.  It was just a waste of space.

Re: Studio lighting!

i actually think it's a great idea to nix those threads, because they're wasting space and it forces us to explain things to people that have already been explained elsewhere.

to new members & forum participants: posting your opinions about where the site should take itself and how the content should be produced is not useful in the forum.  the producers are not going to gear the content toward your specific desires.  the other members of the forum are not really interested in your personal tastes on lighting or camera angles.  if you want to introduce yourself, introduce yourself and tell us about you.  a detailed list of the things you like and don't like about our site doesn't really tell us much about what you're going to contribute to the forum or that you're eager to engage with us.

thanks.

If that's your final word on the subject, I'm going to have to withdraw from the forum. That was not the only thread with ignorant, shortsighted "suggestions" and resultant flames, and the "waste of space" - claim is a cop out. Censorship gives me the willies.

Censorship would be removing information which we don't agree with.  This is editing and it's unfortunately necessary on forums like this or they become dominated by the noisiest, most ignorant and ego-centric posters.

I for one will be sorry to see you go, so soon.

As far as I can see, some posts just have to be pulled because their insulting to the contributors. I've asked Richard if he'll pull the odd creepy post at ISM and he didn't do it. Richard's one of the least invasive admins I know.
If the first post in a thread is distasteful enough to be deleted, you can't delete it without deleting the whole thread.  I think the software won't let you do anything else. You'd need a lot of mods to watch a forum every minute of the day 24/7 so some threads that insult the contributors and talk about them as if they were things or performing monkeys will be answered before you get to them.

This and most other similar forums  have an incoming fire of posts that show a real contempt for the contributors which is insulting. This is what the femme in feminism debate was all about, it wasn't academic fantasy, this is the reality of what anyone who is proud to be a woman and proud to be a sexual being has to constantly put up with even when their giving people a lot of pleasure, it's ridiculous.

And to illustrate that

Imagine if you posted on the website of your favourite band and said "Your voice is great but I can't hear the words, you should get your hair cut so it doesn't flop all over your face, the sound is too muddy, and can you wear slacks instead of tight jeans because when you do that I can see the outline of your dirty cock and balls and I don't like it. I'm not buying any more of your music until all this is done."

Re: Studio lighting!

*reads Polarchills last post to me and simply laughs*

Ahem.....maybe I should remind you of a few things Polarchill. My first post in this forum after several weeks of observing was nothing more than pointing out the similarities that do, by definition, make these videos.......porn.

You and a few others didn't like the fact, obviously, that I pointed that out. I even said I enjoyed the videos. Since then, you took it upon yourself to make juvenile remarks and even false accusations towards me, as well as questioning my motive for being here.

You have been on the defensive ever since. Hit a nerve too close to home, maybe? I have yet to say anything insulting or falsley accuse you of anything.

Your insults and false accusations say more about YOUR character than they do mine.

You accuse me of coming in here and stirring trouble. That is almost too funny to even bother laughing about. I'm not the one who started with the insults and false accusations. You are. I'm sorry but, again.....WHO is trying to stir trouble?

But if throwing jabs towards new members, whose opinions you don't agree with,  is what you need to do to make you feel........validated, somehow, then by all means, go ahead and continue on.  It's really pathetic when someone comes in and posts a definited margin on the topic and even adds their own opinion gets attacked and insulted in the manner that you have chosen to execute. I don't recall reading where it said "If your opinion differs from PolarChill's then you're the bad guy"............George Dubya would be most proud of your M.O. "If you're not with us, then you're agin us". It's good for a laugh, if nothing else.

I came here for the sole reason of doing research on human sexuality and what motivates people in that particular direction. There wasn't enough feedback without sifting through constant insults being thrown at people back and forth, so we decided that we'd send someone in to ask questions directly.

If that bothers you, well, that's your personal issue. Not mine.

It really isn't of any significance whether or not YOU believe I am here to do as I say. The world doesn't revolve around your opinion and neither does our research. I'm sorry if that bursts your budding ego.

So you continue to think whatever you choose. I respect your right of diversity, even if you seem to have trouble respecting others.

Ashmedi (if I remember that correctly) "Egnops" is an acronym for the name of this particular study.

MsnEvil........ruined the test study with preconceived notions? Hardly. I won't be so bold as to tell you how you should or shouldn't do your job, I'd appreciate the same consideration on your part. I returned from my holiday outing to find several emails from posters in here answering the few questions I asked.

I thank you for your concern, but that itself is testimony that I'm doing my job most efficiently.

Couldn't you just write polarchill an email, addressed of course from you and your team of researchers at the university of sex smile That would spare everyone else from reading a personal dispute on a public forum.

Blissed.........and why, may I ask, did you not ask PolarChill the same question? Seeing that he's the one who decided to attack a new poster.
I don't think anyone forces anyone else to read anything on these forums.

Or do they?

And in answer to your question, no. It does not involve me "wanking" at all. That would be a conflict of interest. We use anonymous subjects.
