I agree WLV, there are a lot of good things to be said about Ellabella and her thread should reflect that. Though we don't know how Ellabella feels about this, I know that I would be feeling pretty embarrassed right now if someone had started a thread to discuss an aspect of one of my shoots that didn't appeal to them, especially if it was my first shoot.

Thank you. My point. No one has started a thread on the other forum concerning her lovely debut and this one has 24 posts and 340 views. Surely she deserves more from us, IMO.

There is an old thread which I find salient to this discussion, which recurs every so often around here.

The question posed in this thread is,

"Where does my criticism of videos belong, constructive or otherwise?"

I didn't see any criticism.  His first post was of surprise, with no hint of which way he took it.  For someone new to the site, I don't see anything at all wrong with that.  So in a follow up he reveals it's not to his personal taste, which I'm sure even Ellabella wouldn't have a problem with, since there's no judgement of her at all.

I think singling out a particular contributors video and then going on to express that it was part of the reason they were about to cancel their membership could feel like criticism.

The tone of Charlies posts may not seem hostile to you Richard but you've never experienced the shame of a thousand ewes from teenage boys and fully grown men at any mention of 'that time of the month'. You're also not a contributor and therefore not in the position to tell other contributors what is and isn't hostile.

It's not a crime to come on to these forums and assume that they're the same as other porn sites where, as indicated by Charlie it's just dudes sitting around talking about the women on the site as if they weren't there. It's lazy, as clearly there are numerous threads that indicate the contributors are active members of the forums but it isn't the worst thing and Viva responded accordingly, taking the opportunity to 'verbalise our philosophy' but also politely calling out a little of the entitlement that comes with anyone who bothers to come on to a forum to state that they're going to cancel their membership because they're not happy with the product. We are the product remember. Human beings. We seem to be calling out Viva for 'over reacting' (and creating 'hostility' with her 'F...U attitude') but Charlie not so much. I could say that interpreting Viva's post as a 'F...U' is an over reaction.

Thanks so much for that link Nazgard. Hopefully people will take the time to read it. Otherwise, hairpins all round!

"But the more I have looked at the threats and insults that women have received, the more I have found that they fit into the old patterns I’ve been talking about. For a start it doesn’t much matter what line you take as a woman, if you venture into traditional male territory, the abuse comes anyway. It’s not what you say that prompts it, it’s the fact you’re saying it."

Word.

Charlie, if you're still here, we want you to hang around and chat on the forums. We know you'll find good things to watch because we know we make good things. We're also lovely and smart and enjoy lovley and smart interactions with subsribers and each other. We will sometimes challenge you though, because otherwise it'll all end in hairpins.

Re: Ellabella

So true.  The wondrous EllaBella deserves better.  This has all been a minor tangent, blown out of proportion.  I love EllaBella -- & want to see more from her!   Let's  -- yes -- get her her own thread, focusing on her great traits.  Someone would have to start it?

Done. Now if the powers that be can change the title of this thread and if members will post comments to the new thread, we can pay our proper compliments to Ms. Ellabella.
