Oh my god you have to see him today. he is like the size of a (very small) football. His bath went well and he had another one post-food today,  yesterday we played "learn to peck" for ages and he did pick up and eat two tiny seeds. I was soooo proud!

So crucial. That bodes well indeed.

WLV612, do you have any tattoos? Some careful analysis of my videos may reveal a very old and faded bee tattoo...

I have seven. Three, "Sailor Jerry's" (One of my former shipmates has two Jerry did for him in Hono before he passed on.) A few more from various ships and a pink and blue horseshoe I had done when Amy Winehouse passed away. Most addictive thing you can do to your body is get inked. And one of the best as well. It's a record of your own personal history. I'll have to look for your bee. Very good luck to have a bee tattoo. Much like sailors getting, "Mother" or bluebirds. There is some ultra-cool ink to be seen on IFM.

Oooh, your traditional tattoos sound awesome! And I love Amy Winehouse too, I think the media were dreadful to her. I have a lot of empathy for many of the artsy celebrities around my age... gosh, imagine paparazzi following you about, documenting and exaggerating your every mistake as you navigate through the troubled waters of life. Most creative types have experienced depression, emotional breakdowns, dramatic drunken fights on the sidewalk with loved ones (I cringe to recall mine), thankfully we didn't have the whole world looking on!

I was a fan of Amy's from the very start and was and still am, livid with anger the way she was mistreated in the media as well as in her personal life. I think a strong argument can be made for the fact Amy was one of the best natural female singers ever. When you receive high marks from Tony Bennett, you've impressed the best.

There's a lot of superstition attached to tattoos. A lot of sailors will (Or did. It a bit outdated.) have, "Mother" tattooed which is believed to keep you from drowning at sea. Yeah, I'd consider having your bee touched up. We can all use a bit of extra luck now and again.

I've been getting along like a Norwegian church on fire with this person, he's officially my new crush!  He seems to appreciate all my weird traits and has been doing a bang up job feigning interest in my new dermestid beetle colony and the medieval style leather scale armor I've been making, so I'm pretty stoked.

Yes, yes, my beetles arrived last week! Unfortunately a few of the larvae perished in the days following their arrival, but I was inspecting their enclosure yesterday and saw some teeny little new babies. Hopefully the survive and become ravenously hungry for flesh asap. Audrey L and Denna found a small dead cat for me a few weeks ago, so I've been researching how I'm going to skin and clean it for articulation. I have 2 other small skulls ready to feed to the beetles before then though, so little meow will just have to rest in the freezer until the colony is big enough to tackle the job.

I have some more non-dead related things to share, but I must run, speak soon! x

While we have you here on the forum Charlotte, I'd like to know of the works you've put up on IFM, which is the one, if there is just one, where you were most satisfied with the end product? I mean satisfied in the artistic sense of the word. I was lucky enough to be able to ask a world famous female actor this same question and her answer was also my favorite of her roles, very much to my surprise. Soooooo, any one in particular? Of course I'm asking because I have a favorite.

Viva, I'd like to know yours as well, if you have one because I have one of yours as a fave as well. Please note, I don't have a high to low ranking for anyone on IFM, I just happen to have certain favorites.

Re: Dear Diary, Love Charlotte xox

Oooh I'm curious too Charlotte!

For the actual experience of it, I'd say Riding Freight 1 was the best - that train coming so randomly just as I had my orgasm was an extremely intense experience!

For the whole perfection of a filmclip, I love the first part of my 2nd video diary, where I'm talking on the phone to the booking agent and Aven did that incredible editing sequence with the classical music and the airplane at night...

And for just thinking I look really pretty and sexy, I love my video diary 1.3 smile

Re: Dear Diary, Love Charlotte xox

Good choices Viva, I can see why they're your favourites smile. My favourite video so far is a video diary entry where I'm wearing a blue dress and sitting in a green chair, and the camera is low so when I orgasm you can see my contractions really clearly. It's my favourite because watching it back was the first time I was able to see what the feeling of having vaginal contractions looked like... My butt was a lot more involved than I thought it would be, haha.

Also I'm the shoot I did with Kenji, Strawberry and Mylah will turn out to be one of my favourites too.

Great question! If we're talking total finished product, I would say that '1948' is hands down my favourite scene to watch back over. I love the little story, the period setting and the cheeky twists. And how could we forget the controversy? Hahaha! While there have been more intense orgasms and memorable moments in other scenes, this is the one that I'm most artistically satisfied with.

I will let on that there's another fantasy/roleplay kind of scene that I was fortunate enough to shoot a few months ago and I have very high hopes for the finished product. I can barely wait to see it!

Now I must know, what is your favourite scene? And can you reveal who the actress was you spoke with? I do love a bit of name dropping!

Re: Dear Diary, Love Charlotte xox

Hi everyone! Time for another 'Dear Diary' style run down of the life and times of Charlotte. This weekend was fantastic, it started with a rafting adventure along the Yarra and ended with watching Rosemary's Baby at a beautiful 1930's era cinema.

So, when my friend suggested we go for a casual paddle down the river on Saturday morning I don't think either of us were expecting a Bear Grylls style adventure involving raft punctures, slippery rocks and multiple obstacles. I had so much fun though! It was a 40 degree day (that's 104 fahrenheit) and on the water was the best place to be. I saw a pair of Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos and some waterbirds, although I think there would have been a greater variety of animals about if the river wasn't so crowded with people with the same idea... dive in and keep cool! Later that day we saw an Echidna, only the second one I've ever seen in the wild. Yesterday was ok, but I woke up this morning with tender arms and aching chest muscles... what a work out!

Here I am being a river rat:

Yes, there are some freckles you may not have noticed before! I've been caught out in the sun a few times this summer with disastrous results... I was accidentally burned to a crisp a few weeks ago and now all the freckles across my nose have come back out to say hello. Here's cringe worthy photo from the burning incident...

charlotte

Yeah, it hurt as bad as it looks sad

On Sunday I went to an antique fair with my crush, escaped the heat with a few afternoon margaritas and went to the movies. I was dead to the world by 10 pm though, absolutely exhausted! Anyone else into classic horror/suspense films? I love Rosemary's Baby and anything Hitchcock, especially Psycho.

I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend too!

There were a lot of those old cinema's in San Francisco when I lived there many years back and I'm sure they've all been torn down for more profitable (And less charming..) use of the land. I've been in that sort of heat in the Southwest and in South and Central America but it's low humidity. Here, if it hits 85 degrees, it feels miserable. Really miserable.

I despise a bad sunburn! You need to be careful with sun exposure. It will haunt you as you get older, trust me. I love old films regardless of the theme. Hitchcock's best was, "Life Boat" IMO. Look for the originals of, "The Uninvited", "The Body Snatchers", "The Mummy" and "House on Haunted Hill, which is a bit dated but still watchable. Very few good horror films now, "The Conjuring" was a lot of hype and little substance but the doll (Creepy dolls scare the crap out of me...) was good. "Woman in Black" was good but differed from the novel. I think the original ending would have been too depressing for audiences. "The Awakening" and "House of Voices" were pretty good, if you've not seen them yet. Did you know that, "Psycho" was the first film to show a flushing toilet? There's a real interesting story behind, "Rosemary's Baby" but it's a bit long, interesting but takes a bit of telling.
Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Lovely as ever.
See ya'. WLV

Best comment in the 1948 controversy:

"Charlotte, I think what is more important is you were able to pee in a small cup without overflowing the cup and not spilling a drop. "

Damn straight.

I love Rosemary's Baby! Sometimes when I'm feeling a bit crazy at work I  google image it and feast on the imagery before plunging back into whatever task I've got at hand.

This weekend I looked at a lot of ducks, went to the boating river but decided we were too lazy to get a boat so just swam around instead, went to the golf course and watched the flying foxes. Dog is learning to fly and likes to fly from head to head of friends, up to the tallest of bookshelves, and into walls which is sad and funny. I celebrated a special occasion with friends in the botanical gardens as well, with oysters and champagne! Charlotte I love your weekend updates, especially the photos, keep it up yo.

ps. irredescent green beetle dress is superb.

I loved ravenbarber2046's post about his initial flabergasting, followed by enjoyment and appreciation. It was really insightful and he always adds so much to the conversation. Ravenbarber, where are you?! Come talk!

Oysters and champagne in the botanical gardens? Viva, you are living the life! Did beautiful harem boys pluck the oysters from their pearly shells and press them to your lips? I have a vision of palm fronds cooling your brow while little Dog sits perched on your shoulder, like a majestic bird of prey.

Oooooh, I know! Last year I paid a pretty penny to get a few sessions of IPL to reduce the pigmentation that developed after a childhood spent living in the Aussie outback. It helped fade a few of the darker patches, but I fear I'm back to square one after this incident. Usually a combination of vanity and a family history of skin cancer keep me out of the sun, but unfortunately accidents happen sad

Yes, I did know that weird bit of trivia about Psycho and I'm super hyped that you know it too! But you must, must tell me the interesting story behind Rosemary's Baby, please! I'll even brew a cup of tea and get comfy for the tale if you take the time to share it with us.

Re: Dear Diary, Love Charlotte xox

Charlotte, I'm pleased you take precautions against sun exposure. I imagine the rays of the sun are much more intense in Oz than here in the south US.
I'm sure you both know that The Dakota apartment, home to many famous people and most remembered for being the place where John Lennon was shot, was used for many of the exterior shots in Rosemary's Baby.
What you might not know is the film rights to Levin's novel were purchased by Hollywood schlock/horror film director, William Castle. Castle knew he had the makings for a great film but his reputation as an over-the-top, outrageous promoter of truly terrible horror films that relied on little more than cheap theatrics to get people to see his films, prompted Paramount Studios to bar him from directing the film. Castle agreed and was the producer though he did appear in a few scenes ala Hitchcock. He did need a director and he brought a young Roman Polanski over from Europe and Rosemary's Baby, a huge box office hit was Polanski's American film debut. Perhaps you need to see some of Castles original films (Cult classics now) to appreciate the difference Polanski made in the directors chair.
Polanski would be forever linked to a real horror story, the death of his wife Sharon Tate, arguably the last of the true Hollywood beauties and one of my life-long loves. This may be of more interest to Hollywood film buffs like myself but as you both love the film, I thought you might find it interesting. The next time either of you are in NYC, visit the Dakota, it's a wonderful building and if I recall, Yoko Ono has kept the apartment unoccupied, exactly as it was when Lennon left for the last time.
I only watched a part of Silence of the Lambs as certain I find certain themes disturbing. However, if you all can list any horror films you enjoy, real scary ones, let me know.
I enjoy this kind of conversation, with worldly intelligent folks though I have to work hard to keep up my end. Viva, if you will, post photos of Dog as he grows.

I love that story. I love old Hollywood glamour and intrigue, although as we refer to Roman Polanski and Rosemary's Baby, and Mia Farrow, I can't help but feel upset about Dylan Farrow's recent open letter to the NYT...

Wow, Sharon Tate was so beautiful. She's got a bit of a Raquel Welsh vibe going on...

Dog photos?? Don't mind if I do!! I need to take a more recent one, these are about a week old already smile

Here he is the day he got too big for his basket... and starting hopping out and exploring the world around him all by himself.

And here he is in his new home. Eventually I plan to move it outside, and then when he is flying strong enough to avoid predators, to leave the door open always so he can come and go as he pleases smile

Here he is at the river with bonus beautiful topless woman in background:

These baby bird photos are magical, I love that he comes on adventures with you, Viva. Such a bird-dog. And to think that he was once such a small, frail little thing, clinging to life in a coin purse... *wipes solitary tear from eye*

Hannibal Lecter is so crush-worthy, you're not alone in your attraction! While Anthony Hopkins will always be my #1 fave, I'm also very much into Mads Mikkelsen's portrayal of Dr Lecter the TV series 'Hannibal'. I had a sex dream about him a few months ago and was genuinely bummed to wake up and realise it was just my subconscious playing tricks on me. The books are excellent, 'Hannibal' is probably my personal favourite in the series as we really get to know more about his character outside of prison.

I just did some reading about William Castle and he sounds like a riot! I've seen a few of his movies but didn't know about the cheesy gimmicks during their original releases... I need to watch that documentary about him now. I can definitely see why Paramount barred him from directing adaptation; as much as I love cheesy B grade horror (Tales from the Crypt, anyone?), it's the subtlety of Rosemary's Baby that really gets under my skin and gives me the creeps.

Charlotte,try "Prince of darkness"too!(1987,John Carpenter)
An oldie, but gives that real old Devil feeling ,that old fear-from-the- deep from your childhood's dark bed hours.
And with Alice Cooper as a bonus.

Another one is From Hell, with Johnny Depp,a well presented film about 1888's real terror bearing the name Jack the Ripper.
I've done the Whitechapel Jack the Ripper trail and this film catches London's doom at that time excellently including the opiumkits and  Absinth-drinking.

Great film. Hope to do the, "Ripper Tour" one day as I've studied his crimes for many, many years. I feel Patrica Cornwell, though a bit vague at times, makes a good case against Walter Sickert.

When his film, "The Tingler" came to our town, the theater posted signs, "Nurses will be in attendance on every aisle in case of heart attacks due to fright!" The nurses were gals from the high school dressed up as nurses and as we had grown up with them, they let us kids sneak in for free. The movie was terrible but it was after all, free and Vincent Price. Win/win for us.
