No I'm not kidding. It seems amazing that this is not something our bodies figure out on their own when tossed in a bed together, but according to this article, people in China, especially rural China, lack sex education to the point where a 30 year old woman "thought adult male bodies looked the same as baby boys" and "a married couple in the city of Wuhan made the news for believing — for three years — that lying side-by-side on one bed would result in pregnancy."
Is this even possible? Is this article just really kind of racist and dumb? Or do human beings raised in an information-less, sex-negative environment really grow up intellectualizing completely bizarre ideas of how procreation and lovemaking actually work?
I feel like erring on the side of trusting that the vast majority of Chinese people have worked this one out on their own, but I am glad that there's some really nice sex class shops opening up so that people can get real information. It's so fucked up to be told that sex is like being shot with a gun.

Does anyone remember any misconceptions they had about sex, bodies, orgasms etc? I seriously did not know where my pee hole was until like, last year.

I'm a guy, and I had sex mostly figured out before I was 10 from walking in on my parents several times. What's odd is that masturbation didn't occur to me until I was 12 or 13. I thought intercourse was the only way those nerves could fire.
