I'll have to send you some. I think it's a bit unfair that you should miss out smile

OK, Blissed, let me get this straight: when you start a thread it has to be kept on topic, but everyone else is fair game? Just so I understand the rules here.

Yes I started this thread, it's mine, I own it. So I can tell people what to talk about in it. I'm the master of my domain but I'm a pretty fair one. What I'd like to see is some nice pleasant conversation with some thoughtful insights and a few witty asides. OK, So, everybody, get posting smile

Re: Porn spam :)

I recently saw the cult horror films "It's Alive", "It Lives Again" and "It's Alive III: Island of the Alive". I have seen most worthwhile horror films, but somehow these had slipped by me. I took the chance now that they're available on handsome, inexpensive DVD's. The films are hardly masterpieces, but they are rather cleverly thought-out, and I'm happy to have finally plugged this hole in my education.

Thats good, it's nice and polite and informative with a witty aside at the end, that post is approved.

This is a good one as well, it's informative, agreeable, and you have a genuine interest in the subject. Thanks smile
This is 2 people having a nice chat about something interesting, I like it, and it's pretty much what I'm looking for.

Clever is the operative word: I like Cohen's films because he always has an original or at least unusual idea at the center of his scripts.

I'm so happy for you, Blissed. All pleased, contented and happy. Yet I worry: you used only one single, lonely smiley in your latest post. Are you ill? Is it terminal? Can I come to the funeral?

Re: Porn spam :)

Larry Cohen's stuff  looks a bit too scary for me. The last film I saw was Iceage produced by Christopher Meledandri. He made Robots which was quite good, tho I think the characters were less defined than in Iceage.
I haven't seen Iceage 2 the meltdown yet but I've heard it's pretty good!!! smile

Anyway, Burlesque can you stop emailing me about this smilie thing, just because I gave  one to Polarchill and not you doesn't mean I don't like you anymore. You have to learn to not be so sensitive. Anyway, I know your upset, so I'll give you one now because I know it'll make you feel a bit better smile

Verily I say unto you: I don't like smilies. Smilies are for weaklings who get scared by Larry Cohen movies. There is strength in renouncing the smiley. Without that Shield of the Wimp the possibilities for interpretation (and lifelong animosity) are unlimited, and I dislike limitation as much as I dislike smileys. I have spoken.

I got one today promising me "Free access to uplimited prons".

The thing about uplimited prons of course is that when you have seen one you have seen them all haven't you?

But they must be rather fascinating if one has never seen one! Oh, to just once have the privilege of seeing a pron, uplimited or not - I'm not picky.

I've been a member for over five months, and now it's starting to dawn on Blissed that I might not be a nice guy. A bit slow on the uptake, but that's what soy products will do to you.

Re: Porn spam :)

I don't have any ladies in my life, and that's the main reason I'm not a nice guy. Ironically, I just received an email from a lady who for no apparent reason stated that I am a nice guy, which is sweet but not true. I shall simply have to become nastier so that people will stop being so deluded. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some cute puppies to kick out of seven-storey windows.

Re: Porn spam :)

Burlesque, I think you work with the public and  having to be nice no matter how shitty the people are can cause a certain kind of psychosis and I think this is what your suffering from. But we're all your friends here, I can help you, we can talk this through and sort out your problem. If I'm successful tho I'll have to charge you but as I already have full access to your bank details thats no problem. Oh when you look on your next statement you'll see another £20 missing don't worry about that I just temporarily borrowed it. I took £10 from your mastercard and £10 from your visa because otherwise your visa would have gone passed your borrowing limit, You better put some more money in both of those accounts tho because the slightest little expense coming in is gonna make you overdrawn.  I'm not taking any more from the American express card because thats paying the consolidation lone I got you and it's only because of me that your able to pay interest only over 25 years. So basically as the person in charge of your finances I've done rather well for you and your lucky to have me around smile

Re: Porn spam :)

"Consolidation lone". That's surreal, borderline metaphysical.

Speaking of borderline, you really should get that money mania of yours looked into and preferably have it pulled. I squeezed by without any money at all for any number of years and I was one million times happier then than I am now (I know that that's a cliché, but in my case it happens to be true). My diagnosis is that you use your obsession with money to fill up the vast, empty chasm that you call your mind ... sorry, that should have read "life".

Burlesque.

P.S. I work with the public, but I'm not nice to it unless it's nice to me. D.S.

Yeah thats why I sorted out your finances so you haven't got any smile

I just did it all to make you happy smile

Anyway, I fill the vast empty chasms of my life by writing in forums. I know how pathetic this is and I'd ask everyone to please give me
as much sympathy as possible smile

It's not the money that bothers me, it's the so called "work" I'm called upon to do in order to finance your bad habits.

Writing in forums to simulate a life ... now that's something I actually can sympathise with. I never thought the day would come.

Sure, no prob' blissed, and you'll be glad to know I've figured out how to give you sympathy without giving you any attention. It's so very energy-efficient.
