Scifi novel

An android robot can be an avatar in virtual sex. So you could have sex with no physical consequences and there would be real desire. There might be this weird dissonance between falling in love with someone only when they're using the avatar and they only fall in love with you when your using the Orlando Bloom avatar But the love and friendship between 2 people who don't find each other hot at all in their real form would be strange and amazing. So might the final scene of them making love in their real form.

In the movie the film star avatars could play themselves.

Do it - there isn't enough good consideration of sex in science fiction, especially not since Theodore Sturgeon died. If nothing else, make a short story of it.
