I reckon roman and greek culture is still fairly new-fangled stuff - 2/3000 yrs vs. the 37,000 this article is talking about - but definitely rife with dirty, dirty porn. There's lots more sex in the literature of Roman antiquity - try Ovid, Catullus, and the first page or so of 'The Golden Ass'. It does take a bit of imagination to see the vulva, but at the same time, it seems that at the point man or woman put stick to ground and realized they could create a "likeness" (which much have been magic at the time to those that first did it), that the first individual body parts drawn would be face, cock and pussy.
