ladies- what do you like to 'watch'?

I am inspired to post after I watched this film last nite...

Romance (1999)

I only got upto the second sex scene before it was time to switch it off, but phew, did it contained some delicious sexytimes! I think the reason why I liked it so much was that it was explicit, but was not based upon the male gaze. Directed by a lady, describing a women's pleasure, hell yes, it was pleasurable for me too.

You can find it in the foreign film section of your local video store..

Re: ladies- what do you like to 'watch'?

Looks quite good. Does anyone know a movie like this where the female lead is full bodied. Because as tight bondage ropes can be seen to cut in, a full body visually registers the intensity of how someone is touched really well, and that is extremely hot!!

Re: ladies- what do you like to 'watch'?

Unfortunately I don't. I just did a quick search and found a comedy called Exit to Eden with Rosie O'Donell, but I don't think there is a rope scene there.

But another amazing babefest is Killing me softly- Heather Graham haha soz the trailer is in italian, but you get the idea.... babes.

Ohhh, maybe we can all work through this list

Re: ladies- what do you like to 'watch'?

Great question, artemesia. ^_^

I love same-sex romances. My favorite sex scene in this variety of film is one found in When Night Is Falling (the unrated version). (It also has one of the better stories of the subgenre.) Recently I tried finding the film that I love for sale on the Web, but I could only find the R-rated version. T_T

Re: ladies- what do you like to 'watch'?

@ leeboy, exactly my point.

@skysoblue, ohhh great genre. i can't think of any films off the top of my head that have le sexytimes scenes, but Heavenly Creatures (1994) is a beautiful film about romance and friendship.

oh, of course apart from Black Swan That scene was so great. I have a married friend/lover who had never really explored masturbation, until she saw that scene. Inspiring stuff.

skysoblue, apparently you can buy the unrated version here? http://www.wolfevideo.com/products/when … s-falling/

let me know how you go!

artemesia, you are quite welcome. ^_^

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately when I visit the page it tells me that the product I am looking for "no longer exists" or was "entered from a bad link". I will keep trying.

Several glaring omissions, Sister My Sister being the most notable and Elena Undone (With the stunning Traci Dinwiddie) as well. I thought Loving Annabel was contrived and overrated. Fingersmith, both the film and the novel are favorites. Very intense but the growth of the relationship between Maud and Susan is well served in both the film and the novel. To overlook Sister My Sister is almost criminal.

Re: ladies- what do you like to 'watch'?

I'm really looking forward to watching fingersmith! I mentioned my film research to an absent lover, and she instantly suggested it. And in the next moment, ordered it on ebay for me. There is something about mixing a costume drama with sexy scenes that really works.

ps. Did anyone else bawl at the end of Gigi?

Mmmm...
Artemesia,try to watch:
The Girl-Sande Zeig
Loving Annabelle-Katharine Brooks
Better than chocolate-Anne Wheeler

These three are real nice and sometimes amusing films about women in love directed by women.

Re: ladies- what do you like to 'watch'?

Fingersmith was really good! Can't recommend it enough for a lazy sunday afternoon viewing session. In the same vein, 'Tipping the Velvet' is extremely entertaining, not necessarily the best in terms of writing but still the sex scenes are good and some parts of it are hilarious! Victorian dildo's, yes oh yes, and underground trans-men scene(!) I'm starting to wonder if the victorian lady on lady drama series is the next new trend...

'Sugar Rush' is total fun trash. Only seen a few episodes, but it's really tragic teenage drama.

'Bound' had a really good storyline, great lead actresses. Hot lovemaking scene.

Hartp02, i'm looking forward to getting to your suggestions. I have a feeling i'll be keeping my local video store on their toes in keeping up with their boast of having the largest range ever. Thanks for all the recommendations, keep them coming please... (pun intended)
