Years ago I worked for a company that was setting up another factory in Egypt. They left 5 containers, identical to that, outside the fenced in area. The next morning they were gone. They had been drug off by manpower alone and when they were found, the people who took then had already chiseled windows in them and had set up house. Not as nicely as she did, but that story came to mind instantly when I viewed the clip. Nice job.

That was fascinating but I did find myself wondering the whole time... how did she afford to buy the land she has it on?

Youtube viewers say she rents it from someone else who lives on the property. I liked this very much, she shows how easy it can be make a beautiful home for yourself and for your children - who needs mortgages and financial bank slavery in order to build your own home? That has always been my dream but the more money I make the more I was feeling that my dream is unattainable without selling my freedom to the bank - I can make 10 thousand $$ but how will I ever get anywhere near 500?? or even 300? This video reminds me that home is what you put curtains on. Makes me feel good.

The house I own was the first I ever bought and like you Viva, at first I felt shackled and restrained. I've been able to pack up at a moments notice and go where I chose. I've worked my way past that stage and I got a good deal in my house an despite the soft market, it'd sell quick if I decided to leave. I haven't quite gotten used to the fact that it's my house and I'm not being gouged by some landlord who has paid the mortgage off years before I rented and only pays taxes and if a major repair is needed, they just raise your rent so you pay as if it was your home.
If worse comes to worse, I'll let the bank have the house and hit the road.
There are so many houses in this area for sale that the bank would adjust my mortgage to keep my account. My income is locked and I'm not a credit risk. They love me!

I like that her project is just right for what she needs and so doesn't sap her enthusiasm. If she was renovating an old house a penny at a time she'd be far from finished now, with loads still to do on all the parts of the house she doesn't need. I think her place is gonna end up being quite big though, with a conservatory and her new bedroom it'll cover the same area as a UK bungalow that costs about £350,000

I completely agree with the idea that a home and a mortgage are a shackle. I love the sentiment she expressed that her home is mobile and she will eventually buy a barge and move her whole home on to that.
I can see the appeal of buying a house if you're living in one anyway and paying rent. I wouldn't ever do it personally but I'll never get to test that because no bank would ever give me a dime. I don't check any of the required boxes for that kind of stuff. It is my 10 year plan to buy a yacht with my own money. If I am going to buy a home it is going to be one I can escape in.
