For a few years now I've shifted into a new thought paradigm of fucking being good, and cunts and cocks being beautiful, which led me to try and alter the way I speak.
How often have we said your screwed or your fucked or thought 'what a cunt.' All sex hating sentiments that regard sex as a violation.
How often have we written or said "what a jerk" yet what we actually acknowlrdge is most people masturbate and love it and it's actually a sign of mental and physical health.
So, any suggestions for updated alternative words that reflect how we feel? rather than us continuously using phrases with outdated sentiments? This I think is actiually quite difficult. if I accidentally drop a fire extinguisher on my foot just saying "Crikey!" won't really cut it ha ha

I know most people won't find this as funny as I do, because most people don't play WoW, but this machinima video springs to mind:

On topic, I had the same idea some time ago. My thoughts are as follows: There's no such thing as a bad word, only bad ways of using them. Of course, using words in a bad way consistently, will eventually taint them, and we will associate them with only bad things.
For example, the Swedish equivalent of cunt is also considered horribly rude, and although I sincerely believe that there are no bad words, only bad ways of using them, I have a hard time imagining using said word in a positive context without feeling really self conscious about it.

See, I like using "fuck" in a negative and positive manner because it's such a satisfying word to spit out - either way. The negative kind of gives the word something of an electricity, I think if it were exlusively a "good" word it might lose its power.

No I think saying fuck is satisfying too, I'm not talking about not using it, or giving up the emotional release of swearing, just that the negative word fucked sounds ludicrous to me, the same with negative cunt. Being fucked is very often a good feeling and the act of fucking conceived nearly all of us and we were gifted to the world through a cunt. So if someone calls me a fucking cunt I say thankyou
Most of these words sit in our subconscious, 1st in line to express emotion. So we use them automatically as a reflex. So even if we want to change them and use new words, we have to train our subconscious to let us.

I'm all about the compound or imaginative cuss words.
For example: cockfag, cuntox, fuck-knuckle, arsehat and so on.
Turn on. Tune in. Drop out.

I personally like using phrases like; "He is has the intelligence of a brick",{IE: Brick-Smart} "Why don't you go infect yourself", "You are about as charming as a broken colostomy bag" and my personal favorite; "Bloody Hell!"<---I don't know why as I'm not even British.

English isn't even my first language, and I still often find myself spouting out "cuntmuscle", as made famous by Ari Gold in Entourage.

That's the spirit! I imagine you taking a bow as you give your thanks too . Oh... how I do love the creativity of swearing though. I believe you can speak an entire sentence using the word fuck (in Australia, anyway) - I love it's flexibility as verb, noun, adjective, and interjection. And as for cunt - what a beautiful Saxon word. I believe it was Queen Victoria who made swearing "naughty" and unacceptable (and the act of sex along with it) - what a cunt. Let's marry the sacred and the profane once and for all. All cunts who agree say "fucking aye". Maybe that's again an Australianism - cunt can be a general term of affection, as well as abuse. Sex has power, that's why swearing is so powerful, I think. And power can be wielded both ways.. A friend of mine calls swearing inappropriately (like while talking to an old lady on the bus) 'dropping f-bombs' - now that is loaded! I think English is a particularly swear-full language - when moving over first to Germany I struggled with not having the strength of words to be emphatic with - the young 'uns use English to swear with effectively, as 'fich' (fuck) doesn't have the same strength of feeling as fuck, apparently. I'd be interested to hear from people with other languages what swearing is like in their tongue, and what or if it has the same taboos and power? One thing that strikes me as curious though - why is it that predominantly young people swear? I'd like to see the statistics on comparisons between incidence of swearing with sexual activity. Some older people swear openly - do they also still have good, happy, active sex lives? Seems a lot of people let sex fall away.. and swearing.. is there a connection??
By the way Hyperballad, I'm impressed with arsehat. What exactly does it mean?? Cracked me up, anyway.
I like it. I like it a lot. I like it a lot and then sometimes not.

And I miss Leda's contribution to this forum.. she would have something amusing to say about all of this!

That's interesting. There's a link between sex and testosterone in both sexes and I'm guessing a link between testosterone and swearing So swearing could indicate someone has an active libido, and means they're thinking about sex.

I'd like to believe that there is a connection between the energy that goes into swearing and the energy that drives my libido, but I'm afraid when I swear I am definitely not thinking about sex. I'm just FUCKING CUNTING ANGRY . Almost always with myself, I hasten to add.

No your not. I'm just saying we're told getting angry involves some of the same hormones that get you horny.

Though there are other kinds of fucking, I think procreative fucking has always been the only proven reason we exist. The rest is up to us to create a point or reason and choose what we think is important in life.

Communication in any language can be an art form and slipping "fuck", "cunt", "snatch", etc. into such communication can only serve to add a little clarity to such. Like anything else, when over used the artful impact is diminished...so say me!
