Back in the early days of IFM, when Liandra was our hostess, we shot a series of long form intimate explorations with many of our popular contributors. For one reason or another they were put aside, although a few of the masturbation sequences were released in abbreviated form. With the new technology that's enabled us to dramatically enhance the quality of old videos, we've decided to release these more or less in their full form - sometimes over an hour, in which we become intimately acquainted with the contributor, exploring their sexuality and their body, before enjoying the privilege of watching them demonstrate their masturbation technique.

These were filmed in simpler times, before the advent of social media and smart phones, when young women didn't watch much porn - usually only in the company of their male partners. Their sexuality was their own, a learned experience, not something they picked up on Pornhub or from 'influencers'. I find these fascinating, revealing, and extraordinarily intimate. I really don't think these films could be made today.

Be patient, they'll be released in parts, they're a slow burn and require some investment on your part. You might even like to stitch them together into a single feature length film of each contributor, if you have the tech. But I'm sure you'll enjoy them immensely, especially if you've been around IFM since the 'old days' and would like to get re-acquainted with some familiar contribs.

I've just rejoined ifm after years away - I was a very early adopter (different username). Good to see the site is still going, and of course there is still abundant beauty within. But yeah, things have inevitably changed somewhat, maybe some spontaneity lost here and there - so this news is just sweet music to ma ears!

Most porn reduces women to objects (imo). But I want to know who the person is that turns me on so much - so these longer, broader, intimate pieces are wonderful.

Exactly - porn is about People, or should be. Is that such a radical idea? Yet it hasn't occurred to pretty much the entire porn industry from the very beginning. Playboy used to have hand written bios for their centrefold models, but they were obviously guided in a particular direction and weren't very revealing. Tony Comstock recognised it in his films from the late 2000's and we made a point of giving the women a voice in the early days when I was at Abby Winters. If Feck is remembered for anything, I hope it's for putting humanity into porn.

There are people of course who, through guilt or shame, don't WANT to know the subject, they prefer it to be a 'thing'.

This sounds great.

I regularly return to the earlier lucubrations. One of the charming things about them, is realising how much the world has changed since they were first filmed. Nowadays, there is an ocean of content, with Onlyfans etc, but ironically, it is very difficult to get any content that is truly "amateur" in the sense of it being experimental and daring for the contributor. People go on camming and content sites now following a formula that is tried and tested, and quite jaded. Sometimes you may find a couple or an individual that have a special charisma, but all of it is more knowing. What is beautiful here, in the old interviews, is that what these women were doing then was pioneering and new, and they themselves were learning and revealing on camera, with you who filmed them. It was a joint exploration of new territory. Nowadays, the maps have been drawn.

Yes that's true Hangdog. And it opens a can of works about amateur vs professional. We once had a staff member complain that our preference for non-professionals was 'whorephobic' and my attempt to explain why we have that preference wasn't successful. Some of our best, regular contributors could no longer be considered amateur because they've done so much for our sites and others, and some have other side hustles like stripping or full service sex work. They keep it real here so they're always welcome. But there is something especially endearing about wide-eyed first-timers, and that's why the entire amateur genre exists. How do you explain it without offending (semi)-professionals?

In the case of the contribs to early period Feck sites is, in the case of women, most of them not only hadn't made erotic content, but they'd not seen very much of it either. Perhaps that's the thing - not how much they've made, but how much mainstream content they've seen, and how it informs their 'performance'.

My two cents ...

I agree with Richard in that we are no longer in an environment where Feck is the first (only) port of call for positive sexual expression, online or otherwise. Therefore it is probably inevitable that the way contributors interact with the camera (consciously or otherwise) is different now than it was twenty, ten, even five years ago.

Sometimes I wonder if Feck/IFM has been almost too successful, in that the truthfulness, naturalness, joy, personal touch (etc.) that made it unique, has been copied by platforms such as OnlyFans in the twenty years since Feck began. Not copied as successfully, mind you, but copied nonetheless. So Feck is no longer the only option, either for contributors or subscribers.

As an early days contributor myself, 2005/06 era! across the Feck projects, I particularly remember the excitement to have access to digital cameras! YES! It was a rare commodity in the mid 2000's. & as a photographer then and now - I can really see the difference in the relationship individuals have with using/being in front of a camera/recording device.

The change in the content being recorded, I feel like, is heavily influenced with access to technology. 100%.
Taking photos and videos in 2005 for most people, they weren't so 'practiced' in seeing and editing their own image - so the self consciousness and control aspect - it didn't exist yet! How exciting and rare and now 'retro' this early style of recordings are. A great commentary on movement with technology access & relationship to the self.

Yes! That's one of the reasons why I love revisiting those early lucubrations and listening to what the contributors had to say back then. This was one of the things that attracted me to Ifeelmyself in the first place, and by the time you were using the thunderstorm intro, I was hooked.

It was a great addition when video profiles began. Back then, both the profile and the first scene would be issued on the same day, and it was a real delight to watch the profile and then watch this person you had just got to know, masturbate in her own way.

Well that was quite a flashback. I think this might’ve been one of the very first lucubrations I ever did. I just watched the first instalment and it is weird seeing myself at that age. I couldn’t finish the video because I found my nervous laughter after everything I say was too annoying.

Having said that it is quite endearing how unpretentious and unperformative it all was. Just some horny twenty somethings excited to find kindred spirits of hedonism and get paid to have orgasms together. It was a lot of fun.
