Just thought I'd spread the word about the TED talks, and the one I found first in particular which is fascinating and quite moving as it progresses.
"Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment."

Orgasms are a crucial function of human existence and are centered in the right hemisphere, when she talks about drifting off into la la land with feelings of euphoria as her left hemisphere was disconnecting, it seems to correlate with having an orgasm, If your masturbating and climax and the phone rings it's very difficult to re-engage your left side to answer the call or do anything intentionally. Her talk gives us further insights too into perhaps a greater understanding of how our own minds function and produce us, as conscious beings.

Wow,
That talk by Dr. Taylor is incredibly powerful.
Definitely "an idea worth spreading" as she concluded.
Thanks for spreading it blissed I don't think I've ever seen a scientist brought to tears like that. Describing the beauty of the right hemisphere experience so eloquently. Especially when she was talking about "making that transition", and what a beautiful experience it was when thought she might be dying, and how much peace and beauty there really is in the world. Wow.
That brain she was holding was pretty gnarly though
