How cool is this commercial aired on national TV in Iceland!

Marketing messages aside, it's great to see something that is normalising nudity and bodies of shapes and sizes. There is so much freedom being expressed, and it blows my mind that it is aired on national TV! I can't imagine something like this being shown on TV here in Australia.

I looooooove this commerical!! I always feel this way going to bath houses in japan, its so relieving and relaxing to see how different all naked bodies are. I would love to see more naked people and yeah, naked men! all around me.

A great commercial! Iceland is a different world altogether in so many ways....
Nudity actually used to be fairly normal in much of the Northern parts of Europe (mixed saunas, guys and gals showering together after work-outs, nude beaches everywhere etc.), but I feel that some of that has gone lost in recent years, with young people becoming somewhat more 'prudish', and I've found myself wondering why. It kind of started in the early 2000s when bushes began to disappear and women likely felt uncomfortable bringing their bits into full view. There's also much more awareness now of sexual harassment, being stared at and so on and I fully respect that. And yet I feel a bit sad that the levity around being nude in public that used to be a part of our lives no longer exists.

That is a really interesting observation about changes in pubic hair styling and less openness about nudity! I definitely feel that the increased awareness of sexual harassment and sexualisation of bodies could be a contributing factor. That whole mentality that if you dare to be naked or "scantily" dressed, you are inviting sexual advances etc. is so prevalent and so damaging. It is a shame to see it disappear - nudity can be so freeing, and I am constantly wondering how we got to this place where this completely natural state of being is discouraged with such fervour.

I never even thought how much privacy my pubic hair really gives me until now....

I hear that from some people in Germany! Its too bad that people are not so smart at borrowing good things from other cultures (like food!) but not their hangups.
