inverted nipples

it struck me, while watching the very fine trifecta of Emily_H's contributions, that she has very prominently inverted nipples. i got to thinking that actually most of the conventional nude photography that we see in lad's mags and such feature ladies without inverted nipples. perhaps we've considered this physical feature as less than ideal?

I've had a just one sexual partner with inverted nipples, and we never really talked about it. so I'm curious - to the ladies here who do have them, have you ever felt self-conscious or ashamed even of them? are they different to uninverted nipples in terms of sensitivity?

I had a friend who after giving birth found it hard to breastfeed with her inverted nipples.

I dont have them as you know but I can mention that they are quite rare! In my 7 or so years working in ISM and seeing every folio that comes in I've only seen them a handful of times

i find this quite interesting - some quick investigative googling tells us there's up to an estimated 20% of women who have inverted nipples. And it's possibly higher due to under-reporting ... yet Viva says they're comparatively rare on these sites! Why the under-representation? could it be due to shame and distress arising from what appears to be a physical anomaly?
