Hey, so I found out about this just today, despite it actually happening almost 2 months ago. A woman who's stage name is Cytherea was a rather big name in the porn industry in the last decade. She recently had 5 teenagers break into her home and hold her husband and children at gunpoint while they raped her repeatedly; after having robbed the household. It is a horrific story to contemplate. The family is now looking for donations to help them recover. I figured that the viewers and contributors to this site would probably be sympathetic to the family's plight, so I am posting this here.

What a horrible attack. Thank you for posting the link to her donations page. I was surprised to see the article didn't have much information about the story but was rather just a general attack on feminism.

Oh god if this is true I feel so bad for Cytherea, how super fucked up... is it really true though? The article you linked to is a Men's Right's, anti-feminist one and the website itself is super evil right wing.

As you can see there is an actual local news report about the attack. Posting that particular article might have been the wrong choice. The problem is that not many outlets have picked up the story. Most of the articles are about people who are pissed off about how prominent internet feminists like Antia Sarkeesian have not addressed the attack in any way. Which, while that is a problem, the bigger issue is getting her and the family help. So yeah, I felt like I could choose between a racist article and an ironically sexist article, which is a sad state of affairs. I would like it if a major news outlet had picked up the story, but alas, to my knowledge that has not happened.

I have looked at some of the news articles on this incident. The fact they broke into an occupied house at 7:30 p.m. - I think the perpetrators knew exactly who lived there and what they might find. It doesn't change the outcome, and it is a sorry state of affairs. I feel bad for the victims. I believe there is much, much more to this than meets the eye. Just saying...
