Re: Pubic hair

Yeah I do to. I have the same pubic hair philosophy, it's good to do whatever you feel like.

Re: Pubic hair

So here's a question.
What's the most out-there colour/shape you guys have done "down there" (Geez, I can sound like a prude!!) hehe... I need some inspiration!

I once tried to get a letter "T" for my boyfriend's birthday, as his name starts with a T... Alas, the top line of the T didn't turn out so good as I was too sparse at the time! (He still enjoyed the landing strip though.)
Moral of this story: Let it grow as much as possible if you're going for a letter!

I remember when young men had hair on their chests! Burt Reynolds! He posed nude on a rug for some magazine in the 70s and he was covered it it (hair, that is).

Re: Pubic hair

Chuck here.  I like it because it keeps the hair out of my mouth, long or short.  Does that make me a "perv"?

I really don't think we should judge anyone for a preference as long as the person who decides to do one sexual thing or another is doing that thing with a consenting adult.  If someone likes to shave his or her pubic hair, who are we to denigrate them?  There are those who would see this site as a quick roadway to Hell.  I don't agree with them, but they have the right to think that until it infringes on my rights.  Then the problem is no longer one of preference or personal conviction; it becomes a matter of personal freedoms.

I remember hearing about that.  Wasn't it Cosmopolitan?

It's just one more annoying thing from the USA (started in California, no doubt).  I appreciate that most Australian women aren't taking up this sleazy practice.

Now, excuse the naive questions, but:

When did this shaving stuff start?  It's probably been more than a decade since I've seen any other women's pubic hair except my wifes, but in the 1980's to 90's, I never recall seeing such shaving in mixed-age nude company (homemade sweat lodges, nude beaches etc...)

Is this shaving just a erotic-model thing or would I expect to see most US women in their 20's to be doing it?

Thank-you for this fine site.  Up with erotica, down with sleazy, exploitative US porn.

Since I am an American and live in the USA, I take extreme exception to your rather bigoted opinion of my country.  We are far from perfect, but your post seems to suggest there is nothing good that comes from here.  I can excuse the naivete, but your apparent prejudice against everything American is more than irritating.  We have over 250,000,000 people here.  Perhaps 50,000,000 aren't worth a damn, but the other 200,000,000 are some very nice people.  Too bad you don't take the time to figure this out.

It reminds me of a story my mother once told me.  There was a man who drove into a town and asked a store clerk, "I'm looking to settle down somewhere.  Are the people here nice?"  The clerk asked, "How were the people where you came from?"  The guy answered, "Terrible.  They were rude and mean 99% of the time."  The clerk said, "That's how they are here, too."  A couple of days later, another man came into the store asking the same question.  When the clerk asked about the people where the man came from, the man said, "Really nice.  Friendly people who would give the shirt off their backs to help you."  The clerk said, "They're the same here."  The moral?  How people seem to you is more a product of your viewpoint than their own behavior.

Unless, of course, they wear their bigoted attitudes on their sleeves for all to see.

So take your bigotry somewhere else.

Re: Pubic hair

Personally I love women who do not shave all their pubic hair off.  I think it makes their bodies look more mature and sexy.  Especially when it spills out of the panties and run down the thighs.  and one big thing no one ever notices is that the pubic hair is there for a reason, and that is to send out the smells to attract males whether they know this or not.  But also a nice low trim is very exciting on some women also, but don't shave it all off.
Let me tell you a few women pubes do look nice without it depending on how labia and mons is pronounced.  So I'm all for hair there.

Re: Pubic hair

I definitely agree with you jpfloy.  I'll go further and say I love underarm hair even more. It's sexy as hell. I'm lucky so many ladies go au naturale here.
(THANK YOU Liandra, Estelle, Glynn, Chica, Missy Trash, and all the others I haven't found yet.)  I love looking at all the ladies, but the hairy ones just do it for me a little bit more.:)

Hear Hear!! Only problem with shaved (man or woman) is that unless maintained, next week it's 'orribly itchy on both parties. Shaved mine once, just to see what it was like - never, ever, ever again, I don't care if they sometimes get stuck to my bar of soap - it's MY bar of man-soap, so you just stick to your perfumed stuff and live with it !! smile

Haven't you answered your own question here? I'd have thought she was your ideal date!! Leg / underarm air don't get stuck in the soap, or between your teeth depending on your likes. It inconveniences nobody. And if she "trimmed" rather than "shaved", then there's no itchy stubble.

Who gives a fig about whether you do or don´t have hair 'down' there as long as you're havin' a grand ole time using what your mama gave you wink
I really find this such a bizarre argument I do what I want with my pussy, fanny, vage if ya´ll don´t like it DON`T go there. (plus I´ll call it what I want too cause it´s all mine and what do i care what you decide to call it, it´s all about the tone you use)

Re: Pubic hair

Hear, Hear, Leda!! You do whatever suits you. And if what suits you is "doing something to please someone special in your life" then that's good too. I think what comes out loud and clear from this thread is
1) Some women like to shave or trim, others would rather not
2) Some men would like their women to shave or trim, others would rather they didn't. Our tastes are as diverse as yours,
3) Whatever name you give your "pretty bits" smile, they're yours to do with as you please and long may it stay so.
4) If a fella gets heavy for you meet his tonsorial tastes, then unless he is special in some other way then say goodbye!! Or offer to wax HIS pubes - that'll do the trick most times.

My reckoning is that it started in the porn mags. Going back to the 1960s and working forward:
1) No pubic area was shown
2) Pubic area shown - but airbrushed smooth
3) Pubic area shown
4) Close up of genitals
5) 'Open leg' pictures of genitals
Then they think, "Gee, we've shown everything we can - what else is there to show? How can we show more than the other magazines and thus make more money? I know - we'll make sure the girls are shaved.
6) Shaved genital area becomes standard for women working in any field of sex, from photography to pole dancing to ...

Re: Pubic hair

As we used to say back in the 60s and 70s--"Its your thang, do what you wanna do."  We all have our own particular preferences when it comes to what we find attractive or sexy.  But, at the end of the day, a woman's body is her own and as long as she feels integrity in what she does to, with, or on it, then it really is no one else's business.

Sometimes hair turns me on, sometimes it doesn't.  Sometimes hairlessness turns me on, sometimes it doesn't.  But, why should the women who contribute to this site care about that one way or the other?

Re: Pubic hair

I don't mind it, as long as there are also some that are in full bush.

Interesting what turns some people on, off.

I try to keep an open mind but a hairy vs shaved pussy is nothing to me compared to unshaved legs - an absolute downer for me.  That being said, I watch "Pulchritude" on here and try to get past it but I can't.  Maybe some day.

Oh dear Jim, what a dis-service you do to man- and woman-kind.

Ladies, unless you are a real close relative of our chimp ancestors, a little leg hair is nowhere near as big a problem as the fashion gurus and makers of the various highly profitable instruments of torture to remove leg hair would have you believe.

Of course the choice is yours, but imho best thing is to stay "natural"

Shaving it off just means that in a few days time you're going to be horribly stubbly - that really is a turn-off - and before long it will be grown back stronger than ever.

If you want to put yourself through the torture of waxing or tweezering or electrolysis or whatever, make sure you know that YOU ARE DOING IT FOR YOURSELF, because it is YOUR choice. If you believe you are doing it because it is "What HE wants", then unless HE absolutely ticks every other box, and is worth suffering the pain and indignity, then ask yourself (and HIM) the question - whose legs are they?? You might be surprised by the answer!!

Re: Pubic hair

I love pubic hair as much as a shaven mound (I actually shaved a partner's pubes it was fun, *almost like shaving my face 'cept it's MUCH prettier! ;^) ) I especially love the textural contrast between thick hair with the soft warm flesh...Of...The..*Ahem, would you excuse me for a moment?

Smooth skin doesn't have the same contrasts, yet when you have two warm bodies separated only by slick layer of wet heat, and the hot undulating strength enveloping you inside...Well...Uhhh, could you excuse me again?

Anyway, instead of just taking one side of the shaven vrs full debate/preference, I much rather experience the different pleasures of both!  ;^)

*It's obvious that you have to be more careful, but it's the closest analogy that I could come up with using personal experience simply because I'm not a woman.

I for one, respect the fact that He's at least being honest.

Even if I disagree with his view on leg-hair I'm not about to belittle him because of it. As I see it that's the best example of deterring enlightenment in others, because it puts them on the defensive, people are most resistant to change when they are in defense-mode.

@ Jim, thanks for your honesty, and I hope you do get past your reservations.

BTW: You forgot to "Post" the whole quote in context to the point he was trying to make:

"I try to keep an open mind but a hairy vs shaved pussy is nothing to me compared to unshaved legs - an absolute downer for me." ~That being said, I watch "Pulchritude" on here and try to get past it but I can't.  Maybe some day.~

The point he was making was that he has a opposing view for unshaven legs, yet he's open to change in time. It's better to honest with a narrow view and put in the effort to change than an uncompromising expectation for that view to already be changed.

Re: Pubic hair

ah god i saw this filly-limbed girl, all long and skinny legs covered in soft hair walking down the street and almost caused an accident. *shiver* so sexy ....

or that circus girl who got down on her knees to kiss me, and as she took my head in her hands i could see the dark hair under her arms...

or that girl in high school who walked like a gazelle, who was covered in fine white hair all over her face and body...

something extra. different. special.

i know that post way above about 'australian girls keeping it natural' is about a million years old, but i just cant help but respond, and giggle - most girls i know back home, even in California, shy away from the thought of a complete brazilian (doesnt it hurt!?) though general bikini upkeep is common. fast forward to my arrival in melbourne, imagine my surprise to see waxing parlours specialising in brazilian and xxx grooming, sometimes 2 to a block. oh yes, the girls here who engage in even casual grooming - hair, makeup - tend keep it practically bald, baby - so we cant really specify by nationality in this case.

hair is more of a demographic thing. some girls prefer being natural all over. some girls think hair is sexy. some girls want to say fuck you to society. some girls just dont care.

i love both - smooth and hair - so i tend to yoyo. but i will say, especially as far as pussy goes, PLEASE DON'T SHAVE. please. its disgusting. it begins growing back the next day, itchy, thick, red bumps, ingrowns and rash. i remember shaving it off when i was 13, freaked out by all this new hair - worst experience ever. your blade is never sharp enough, the water never hot enough, to avoid shaving rash on such sensitive skin. and god forbid you should shave enough to desensitise it. wax, ladies and gentlemen, when you want to be smooth n' hairless, wax wax wax.

I like pubic hair. smile I like the way it feels against my face, under my fingers, smelling it, tasting it. For me it separates the girls from the women for me.
