Your site name meaning (if any)?

A question for all of the contribbies and subscribbies - Why did you choose your site name? Some are pretty self-explanatory but others have me very curious.

Mine was a pretty last minute decision, I had been listening to "Red Bird" by Lead Belly quite a bit and for some reason it was the only name I could think of at the time. I like it, there's no other Redbirds on the site so it makes me feel pretty spesh.

Miriam was the name of the heroine of the book I was reading at the time, cant even remember what the book was called. But she was a bad ass babe, and after my first I Shot Myself, that's exactly how I felt!

Site names are kinda magical now, someone says (or writes) a name now and all of a sudden this rush of feeling, of the persons energy, and their contributions flashes through my mind!

It was my best friend's boyfriend who told me all about Feck - his name is Michael. When I decided to get involved he felt he needed some credit for his part so he wanted my site name to be Michael - we compromised and this is how Mikaela was born I actually also really love the name Mikaela - to me it embodies a playful and cheeky energy and I feel like when i'm in Mikaela mode my cheeky side really comes out to play

Pretty sure mine was just auto-generated. Usually for adult sites I'll go with a variation of blackcheckshirt (first time meeting with a sex worker, I needed to describe who to look for, I was wearing a black check-print shirt).

Howland is a character in the greatest comic strip ever, Pogo. He's not my favorite character (that'd have to be Albert), but I have to admit he's probably the most like me (he's kind of a know-it-all, makes sense I guess given that he's an owl).

I've never heard of/seen Pogo before but it apparently inspired several people that I adore (Jim Henson and Robert Crumb being a couple of them). I assumed it was a character's name but thought it was probably from something that I "should" know. Like a William S. Burroughs novel or something.
