Cycles

Lately I have been thinking & taking note of my cycle more. I've been trying to closely track the times I can have ejaculatory orgasms. I already record the important bits in Clue, but in the last 6-ish weeks I basically journaled my orgasms like the little sex geek I am. I already know my libido & capacity for multiple orgasms increases the later in my cycle gets & I felt like my ability to gush correlated with this, but I wasn't sure.

I can (reasonably) conclude that squishy squirty times line up with end & beginning period of my cycle. Which is SO interesting to me. I've also sometimes found that I just gush the small amount of milky liquid from my skeins gland, which again fascinates me so much.

I'm forever astounded what my body teaches me, even at 34 & three quarters!

Does anyone else find their arousal, orgasms & desire in general changes over the course of their cycle?

I feel like mine used to be high always, but as I've gotten older there are periods of insatiability when I can come & comes & come, then there others (usually just before & just after ovulation) where I basically forget that I have genitals...

Re: Cycles

Hyperballad I am so in awe of how well you know your body! I need to get Clue! I can honestly say, devastatingly, I've never squirted so I am soaking in all your knowledge. I know that I certainly get very very horny when I've got my period and about when I'm ovulating although I have never closely observed that. I've just come off the pill though after 5 years on it, and I'm already seeing my libido increase! I already have SUCH a high libido I didn't know it could get any higher but apparently it can.

I'm just relearning about my cycle at the moment, having my first natural period in years. I'm taking some natural supplements and I think they are kickstarting my body and I feel so connected to it already, which in turn increases my libido!

Hyperballad, please share your body wisdom with me.

Re: Cycles

I highly recommend tracking your cycle! You'll begin to see patterns emerge & knowing those patterns helps SO much. For example I don't stress when I start becoming ravenously hungry around day 18/19 of my cycle. I'm just prepping for the big hormonal changes. Also in the days before I bleed I know if my vulva feels a bit weird that it's the PH changes, I'm not getting thrush.

When I came off contraceptives my nipples became so sensitive I would put bandaids on them before I could put on my bra. It was insaneeeeeee.

Learning about the way your body works can lead to really great things. From the knowledge I've gained I've taught myself how to have multiple orgasms, ejaculatory orgasms, internal orgasms, butt-gasms & some things I'm going to post about next week once I've done a lil' bit more research.

On the less sex-orgasmic side, intimately knowing your bod/cycle helps when something goes wrong - you're able to notice, then articulate it to your health person smile

Re: Cycles

ps. I also use Clue and it's amazing! It has a feature where you share tracking with your partner too, which is great, they kind of know what's coming.

Re: Cycles

Hahahahha Viva honestly no. I've had an issue the last couple of weeks with getting seriously grumpy when my boyfriend is too tired/busy/whatever. I know it's not personal but I am jumping at the bit I neeeeeeeeed enough sex to go about my days.

Okay I'm definitely getting Clue!!

And yes Hyperballad my nipples are sooooo sensitive!! I run pretty regularly and even with a sports bra on right now I'm struggling! Ouch.

Re: Cycles

I believe tracking one's cycle can be very useful. However, if you're using an app you should probably think about whether you want that data to be shared.

Re: Cycles

That was an interesting and kind of scary article (the first one). I use Clue because the interface is useful, simple and aesthetic with no ads. I like that it's clear, down to earth, and mature. I pay for Clue, about $1 a month. I found out the other day on their podcast Hormonal (which is just starting up, but it's cool, check it out) that they don't sell our data and I was happy about it. The article says they do sell our data, but only to research facilities.. I'm not sure what's true, but I'm okay with that. This article reinforces my happiness to use Clue smile

Re: Cycles

I read a little deeper and Clue claims:

"At Clue we think selling data without real consent and hiding that process are both totally wrong. We have gone to great lengths to write these documents in a way that you can not only understand them, but also make an informed choice and learn how to navigate your data privacy. Here is our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We don’t sell your data. Full stop."

I am glad they share anonymous period tracking data with academic researchers. It's important for academics to have this incredible treasure trove of data about real women's lived experience with their periods. I love Clue more and more. Hey girls pay for Clue so we can keep having Clue <3

I specifically recommend Clue because they don't sell your data & it's so simple to keep on top of.

Re: Cycles

Holy gosh I am on the tail end of bleeding & it feels like I'm coming back to life. I don't think I ever 100% realise how debilitating it all is until I'm emerging from this particular stage of my cycle. I feel so playful & cheeky today. Still pretty tired, but there's sunshine & I'm not in pain, super looking forward to getting home from work tonight & making myself cum. I'm reviewing a new toy too! So it's a very legitimate masturbation session with notes & everything hahaha!!

Yay Catherine! I'm so glad you like it. Will be so interesting to see if you begin to see patterns with arousal/orgasms etc emerge from the data.
