Re: Podcasts

OH GOD YES PLEASE i need new podcasts so bad.

I LOVE "The Daily". made me a NYT subscriber. I love the thourough and calm explanations of what's happening in politics during the week.

I also love This American Life and Radiolab. Brilliant production and always makes me think.

Invisibilia is so good, similar feel to above two as its NPR also but sort of more emotional. It's about emotions, connection, values, perspectives... the "invisible" things which nonetheless impact us so much.

And then there's "Call Me Daddy" which is two "hot" girls being whiny and hilarious and saying kind of shocking and brutal things about sex culture. They are really annoying but crack me up as well.

Re: Podcasts

Yeah I love Invisibilia, the episode about the man that can navigate through echolocation blew me away, it made me think about blindness in a totally new way and it made it much less scary to me. I also loved the episode about the woman that has Mirror Touch Synesthesia... so incredible and overwhelming that someone can experience emotions and sensations of people around them. When her daughter described going to a party and not drinking but feeling drunk just by being around everyone else, so wild.

I like Strangers, this woman Lea Thau has a really nice, unique voice and it's her interviewing people and allowing them to tell their individual story. She gets very personal during some episodes and details her struggles with love and breakups, documenting her own breakup during her pregnancy. Really great.

Seriously though if you have not listened to S-Town, GO DO IT!

Re: Podcasts

How about Science for the People and Lingthusiasm?  Oh, and Rain DeGrey has a Dirty Talk Podcast.

Oh, and the documentary film about Lena Morgenroth is now free to download https://www.universcine.de/de_DE/films/sexarbeiterin

It is hard ones to find podcasts right now!  I see less joint episodes than five or six years ago.  The BBC has some good ones but I am looking for more from outside the US and UK.

What are your favourite podcast management programs?  I used to use iTunes but they moved away from that and I acquired a non-apple device.

Re: Podcasts

I use Spotify now but I'm not really happy with it... it doesn't have the best range. I think podcasts are worse/harder to find excellent ones nowadays, because everyone and their dog is making one!
