Lately, I've been jamming (YouTube videos of) this old cassette tape of American supermarket muzak from the 1970's.

According to the description, "the music contains inaudible subliminal recordings that were intended to increase buyer purchasing at grocery stores.  Customers were influenced to purchase more products as a result of the brain-wave patterns hidden in the musical notes and sound compositions." I haven't noticed any difference in my spending habits, so I can't say for certain . I just love the overall vibe of it all. It has that unique 70's sound that I just can't get enough of.

Lost Boys by The 69 Eyes has been on high rotation since my housemate showed me them the other day. It is so very excellent. They're known as a "goth n roll" band because they're heavyish rock but the singer sings like Elvis. Most excellent.

Going through an Apocalyptica phase at the moment. Three cellists and a drummer I believe, predominantly instrumentals, but they often work with other bands or singers. Here's three favourites.

I've been listening to these three songs pretty much every day for about a year. I love Peter Capaldi so much that I can't even fully put into words the things I would do to/for him. He was just a wee bairn when he released these songs but they are genuinely really fucking good!!

Haha did you hear it done like that somewhere? Or that just a little glimpse into the mind of Mew? It actually fits quite well though?

Do you remember the 80's Australian kids show called "Hunter"? It was about a detective that rode a bike had a cat (that was a puppet) and a mouse that lived on the brim of his hat. It had an excellent theme song and there's a bit that says "What, why, where and when, that's Hunter!" and my partner had never heard it before but now it always gets stuck in his head and one day he came up with the line "Butt, dick, balls and minge. That's Hunter!" and now those specific lines get stuck in my head.
