The McMoon Project

High-resolution images, image processing and editing are a big part of life at Feck, so how about this story about 2 GB image files from 1966?

With smartphones and image-processing software we are really spoiled today!

Re: The McMoon Project

That's pretty cool.  I was a young kid when they landed on the moon but old enough to ask how we got high res colour pictures a few days before they splashed down (the newspapers all carried awesome colour liftouts, at a time when papers were strictly monochrome).  When someone explained it was done by radio, I found that plausible but difficult to grasp.  I'm curious now as to whether by Apollo 11 they had found a way to eliminate the film step.

It makes me so disappointed how many people dispute it even happened.  Such tiny, self absorbed minds, apparently with no capacity for rational thought either.  And so easy to sell to!
