what does your arousal look like?

This is really pretty representation of the scientific model of arousal. I like the different visual representations for lubrication they use, especially the slug 
Also kudos to buzzfeed for the mention on female ejaculation as well as male ejaculation.

I feel like my brain gets in the way of this simple seeming process. just based on this video, arousal is so linear and straightforward! for me, I bounce around so much getting caught in my head and thoughts and then needing to breathe and return to body and consciously let go of tension etc... sometimes I get so excited I can't feel anything.. for me, arousal and orgasm are not at all simple!

I think the scientific model of anything is fairly simplified, especially so for something as complex as arousal! Anything to do with sex/pleasure it's always good to see the basics getting out there in a straight forward way - especially when it's so cleverly edited

Biologically this adds up, but I feel there's another side to arousal that's more based in feeling/emotion. I recently read an article that reflects this, based on a Reddit post where women were asked to describe their sexual arousal:

oh my gosh that list is so great... we have been watching this cute netflix show about puberty and its so sweet when the kids describe the good feelings of sexuality before they quite know what they're feeling/that it's sexual or private or complex or anything. the girls at one point are all reading a sexually charged historical fiction novel and one girl says, "when Gustavo and Fatima are together, I feel like I'm sitting on a fountain, and there's fireworks in my stomach!" I love it.
