Babalon: The Scarlet Woman

For years this website has represented the apogee of female sexual divinity to me, and has provided me not only with immense pleasure but a perspective on the female being rooted in awe and admiration.  Truly what you have created is a temple of worship celebrating the dynamism of the female form, shining light on the beauty of of each individual goddess.  Watching all of the amazing women on this website love themselves has propagated just as much love in me as it has desire. 

Professionally I am an artist living in the US, embarking on a journey to explore the world of gods and goddesses across all pantheons in a set of work intending to draw ties between all time periods of humanity.  In my research I have discovered one figure in particular that absolutely has to be represented, as I feel her story has never been more relevant than it is now.  That is the Great Mother, Babalon.  For some time she was also known as 'The Great Whore,' for her tendency to sleep with every man in existence and in doing so steal their egos from them leaving them bare and exposed to judgement from the creator. 

In our modern era, this imagery sparks new understanding in my mind, the image of a woman with unbridled sexuality who knows what she wants and gets it.  The image of a creator being who stands at the gates of the abyss, who decides which beings make it into heaven and which must return again to the material to regain experience.  For so long the tales of heaven were that of self control, self deprivation, denial of material existence as a passage into higher realms.  Babalon represents the exact opposite, a fulfillment of divinity through the fulfillment of desire, an escape from the material by a complete indulgence in it. 

This story is so interesting to me that I had to illustrate it as part of the series, not only part, but the biggest part, a 5' x 5' panel that's going to be packed full of female sexual strength and the overwhelming intoxication of desire.  Which is why now, I sit here typing this to all of you, on what has been the only website to ever catch my attention online in the way I like to be caught.  My vision for the piece is that of a strong woman figure as the main subject, a close friend of mine who has already been through several photo shoots with me to land on the perfect pose.  This woman is actually the woman who introduced me to the existence of Babalon in the first place, so it seemed more than fitting.  What would take the fitting to a complete new level however, is the ideas I've been musing on in meditation the last couple weeks. 

Around the main figure will be a giant mandala, and my vision is to interweave smaller figures all throughout the mandala as symbolic representations of desire and lust.  Maybe it's how much pleasure I've derived out of this website over the years that led me here now, but I can't imagine a better set of images swirling around a figure of such pure female sexuality as stills i see time and time again watching these amazing videos.  I'd love nothing more than to take a large collection of stills from your library and weave them around this giant mandala as part of the imagery.  My thought was to exclusively use Ifeelmyself women in all of their shapes and sizes to create an amalgamation of beauty, of the power of self love and connectivity.  As a professional artist, I of course am writing this seeking permission, some sort of go ahead so that I know I'm not infringing on anyone's creative property, and so that you know my purpose with your creations is only to deify and empower further the sanctity of this organization.  Essentially I would be doing charcoal renderings of as many women as I can fit into the piece, pulled from videos that best fit the imagery I'm working with.
