I see that one of my recent posts, in which I praised two recent contributions, was moderated out of the forum. Is it not okay to comment on individual videos? Just let me know -
A similar question - is it okay to ask a non-personal question about an individual? A woman seen here recently has a very strong resemblance to a very beautiful woman who hasn't been seen for several years. Inquiring minds would like to know - but those inquiring minds do not want to get too personal, or to offend anyone.

I didn't moderate your thread out, I just moved it to the relevant board. Here it is: http://forum.ifeelmyself.com/forum/view … p?id=18829. Commenting on individual contributions is encouraged, but these threads belong in the 'IFM Discussion' board.
Asking for personal information (eg. real names) of contributors is not allowed.

Thanks Laney - I see my thread in the "List of Lists" section today.
About the name thing - I was not asking for anyone's real name. I know better than to do that. I was wondering whether, a few years ago, one recent contributor had contributed quite a few vidoes using a different "working name". I didn't understand why this contributor, who was a great favorite of many members, would want to change her working name. Whatever the reason, I'll let my curiosity go unresolved. It's just very nice to see her back !

Are you saying that a recent contributor strongly resembles another contributor from years ago, and you suspect they are the same person using a different name? Or that you noticed a popular contributor changed her name, like I changed my name from Devochka to Laney?
I appreciate your concern but it's not too personal either way, feel free to ask and we'll answer as best we can!

"... Are you saying that a recent contributor strongly resembles another contributor from years ago, and you suspect they are the same person using a different name..."
Thanks. That's it. I didn't want to mention the current names, but I think you're saying it's okay to do that - isn't Klementine is the new name for Robyn? The resemblance is striking, including the pierced left nipple.
Whatever the case, Robyn and Klementine are great favorites. I'll be hoping to see more contributions from one of them, both of them, either of them.

Robyn and Klementine are different people, but I definitely see the resemblance.

Thanks Laney - that leads to another question - is there a chance that we'll see Robyn here again? (I can post that as a separate thread if it would work better that way.)

I spoke to Robyn recently and she has other priorities in her life right now, but she didn't rule out a return.

Thanks Richard. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking about many of the women here, hoping that they find safety and happiness in their lives. When I read about one of them moving on to marriage, family, or career it makes me happy. I hope something like that is the case with Robyn. She will be missed - she is missed - but life always moves on, one way or another, doesn't it?

Um... contributors have safety, happiness and family in our lives, and marriage and career just as often as the next 18-25 year old. Your concern is misplaced.

I didn't realize that contributing to IFM meant that my life is unsafe and unhappy and without family. I must have gotten confused seeing as I spoke to my family members on the weekend and have been going about my career and day to day life feeling pretty good about where I am and what I'm doing.

Hi,
don't be too harsh on Harcos. I don't think it was meant that contributors will only find happyness after leaving IFM or that you cant't be safe and happy when contributing to IFM. Just the contrary.
And even if you think someone is happy, it is not possible to look inside a person.
I had a colleague who was the nicest, most friendly and laid back person, always smiling, with a loving family and friends.
But at the begin of April, we had to learn that he killed himself... The most unlikely person to do this.
And nobody knows why, not his wife, not his family or friends or colleagues.
He was not ill (as far as anybody knows), had no monetary problems or whatever.
So wishing someone to find safety and happiness (or having it) is a nice thing. And I wish you all that!

Hi Markus,
I don't have the time reply fully to this because I'm editing shoots for http://ishotmyself.com/public/main.php.
I'm sorry about your colleague. Elsa and I have both experienced mental health issues, and the death of loved ones, so you don't need to speak to us as if we are unaware of these things.
Some stereotypes about women who do sex work (including contributors: porn is a kind of sex work) is that we
- turn to it out of desperation
- are unhappy
- are victims
- don't have careers
- don't have supportive families
- don't have 'real jobs'
Harcos' wording of his comment, particularly that we "move on to marriage, family, or career" implies that he thinks that we don't already have these things - that a person with a career, supportive family or husband wouldn't do porn/sex work. It also implies that we find safety and happiness outside of contributing to IFM, rather than through it.
I know that harcos has good intentions, but the comment came across as a little condescending, so we were explaining why.
