This is my first time posting to an anonymous forum, so please bear with me.
I was watching a video of four women enjoying each other, and I felt overcome by so much more than the obvious urge. I wanted to be there! To participate in the naked togetherness. This whole business of people taking off their clothes and being entirely vulnerable to each other. I call it intimacy, but the word falls short of what I see: laughter, pleasure, freedom, delight, trust... It almost makes me wish I were a woman so I could experience it. (But I like being a man.) I think I have been looking for this thing for many years. Is it real? Or is it just something that looks appealing over my Internet connection but comes up short in real life?
Lately I've been giving a lot of thought to what our "original" state must have been before there was civilization, religion, and laws. Somehow I think it must have been like what I saw in that video. Then again, people have said I have a tendency to idealize things, which I suppose to be true.
What do YOU think???
p.s. Has anyone read "Sex at Dawn?"

Welcome to IFM, elw00d!
Are you talking about the Tit for Tat series by any chance?
Feeling an urge to do more than masturbate, to take part in the intimacy yourself, feel warm bodies against yours is a pretty normal way to feel when watching IFM videos. Soft amateur porn is particularly good at provoking this feeling, because it shows the contributors' personality as well as their body and sexuality. Though personally I find that too much longing just kills my desire to masturbate because I start feeling too lonely and sad that I can't be with the person in the video.
As for the intimacy between women that you are longing for - it is a beautiful thing, no doubt, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it the "original" state of humanity. That has connotations of being uncivilised, and we are more than noble savages.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Laney. Yup - it was Tit for Tat.
So, we may have different pictures of what sex at the dawn of the human race may have looked like. (And of course we'll never know for certain unless someone figures out how to build a time machine.) Different is good. Makes for a pleasant conversation.
I don't imagine our ancestors as savages at all. And I don't think civilization is all that "civilized." I mean, when someone looks at this web site and pronounces it "unclean" (or some other equivalent put down), isn't that the real savagery? To deny people their natural, desires? Evolution may not always produce a more advanced or humane state of being. When it comes to sexuality, for most of of the world it has not. When we get lost, sometimes we have to go back to find our way again.
At any rate, I would not call anyone who contributes to this site a "noble savage," although they DO appear to be very much in touch with their animal instincts! I think you all are very lucky to have the freedom you do. And the community. Communities are becoming more and more rare. Cheers to you.
If anyone out there enjoys a good read, "Sex at Dawn" is a thought-provoking look at how the origins of human sexuality affect us today. I would love to chat about it.

We have different understandings of the Tit for Tat series, because I lived that experience and you've just seen a few edited clips. Strangely enough, it's not a recording of sex at the dawn of the human race, it's a recording of modern people who are just as influenced by civilization, religion, and laws as you are.

Point well taken. I agree. I am just a remote observer while you lived the experience.
We live in two different worlds, I think. You were free to experienced Tit for Tat (assuming there was real pleasure and intimacy) while I will probably always be constrained by the distorted views of myself drilled into my head by religious dictators. Do you think your world is any closer to health and balance than the one most of us inhabit? Or am I fantasizing? I harbor this hope that some of us have managed to transcend the shit our institutions have thrown at us...
I liked what you said about being sad and lonely. The videos are a beautiful gift, but they are not the same as living flesh. No matter how hard we try, there will probably always be times when we feel sad and lonely. We have to keep seeking the real thing.
I appreciate your willingness to engage and hope I'm not asking too much...
